Cellular One 5 Out of 5 Phone Model: V555	New tower placed in the Harbor area. The GSM phone works great all around town. One drop out area by the Alaska Marine Hwy. Ferry dock area. Great signals since new tower placed 04 / 06

Cellular One 1 Out of 5 Phone Model: Motorola V555	Lucky when you can get a signal and even luckier if you can keep it. I upgraded to the new GSM phone because Cellular One said it would get better reception. Not true. Service was pretty good with my Smoothtalker amp untill a couple of months ago. Now it is very spotty and fades in and out when you can find a good location. Even if you can make a call most times the connection drops out completely or cuts out making conversation difficult, kind of like filling in the blanks. Service is better in Juneau but the signal strenght is pretty low as compared to several months ago. I don't know what Cellular One is up to but they need to improve their service if they plan on keeping customers in Alaska.
