	Once again AT&T's promise to have 3G in Sitka is not kept. I first heard "in a couple months" there will be 3G in Sitka over 2 years ago. The latest promise was "a new tower with 3G will be operating at the end of last month (November 2010)". Once again the promise was not kept, still no 3G. Additional problems with AT&T are slow Edge speeds, poor quality voice service including echos and weak signals.

	Five miles from town at the edge of the National Forest in the host cabin called Starrigavin there is little to no reception.

	I was able to analog roam pretty much throughout Sitka with good signal and good reception on both ends. This included receiving calls, too. Battery needed to be recharged at night, but otherwise wasn't a problem. Last year the cell signal was extremely weak and phone basically none functional.

	Pretty good coverage at Kake's airport. No real cell coverage by Verizon, here, but if you visit, calls can be placed at the airport.
