Live in Parrish,AL and came to fill in for a week in almost the center of Cullman about a month ago. I know Cullman is not an overly big place, but I'm atleast able to get 3G with AT&T at my home in Parrish,AL (population less than 1,500-a far cry from Cullman). I had edge in Cullman, while others who works at that location regularly sat beside me with 4G thru verizon. Voice / text wasn't overly impressive, and from about 3-5 miles outside Dodge City til about 3-5 miles before Jasper you could forget any service whatsoever! People around my home have also been saying Verizon is better. I was just told by a long-time friend and AT&T employee that "they just flipped the on for 3G in Cullman." So Verizon has 4G in Cullman before AT&T delivers 3G? Sounds like the typical pattern. Think I may switch to Verizon since my AT&T contract has expired!

Company switched to AT&T, stinks, dropped calls all over the State. Where I live I have 1 bar or no service and I'm 2 miles from the Hospital. AT&T Store states that the new tower near HWY 278 and Hwy. 69 at Eastpoint should be turned on soon. I'm not sure how to find out when. Cullman isn't that small, you would think coverage would be better. Go out to Vina AL where there are only like 300 people and you get 3G service, go figure.

I should have changed carriers when I had the chance, but was told that there was a tower near my area soon to be turned on. They also said my phone needed an upgrade for better reception. Newest phone with 4G, and I still drop calls. It does not matter if I am in Cullman, Huntsville, or Birmingham, my phone drops calls, or I miss calls as a routine. Also bought our phones from their corporate store supposedly had better prices - Best buy, and Walmart had the same phone 25% cheaper.

I moved back to cullman with my family last year with 4 iPhones. Comming from a city with 3G we were thinking edge would not be too bad using wifi at home. We were mistaken. Boils down to AT&T as a big buessness does not invest anything in a small town due to profits are not high enough in the area. I receive no bars at home as well as edge does not work in a area they claim to cover. Tried to set up internet along the same situation and was told they do not have service in my neirborhood only a few miles from interstate. Ended up getting a basic home phone to have contact with rest of world. AT&T delights me again when I start getting tellamarketer call the next day cause AT&T sold my number out. After 15 years I am done with them! Oh wait they have me under contract so I am stuck! There is a new twist that can help u in cullman. If you have a smart phone. Use as much data usage as you can when u are out of network range. They will send u a letter saying your out of network use is too hight and your contract will be canceled. They gave to pay other providers when u use there towers for network. They will also offer you a free network tower to hook up to your home enternet to prevent the cost to them if u do not use wifi. Boils down to the dollar and we are stuck with big corporation having all the leverage.

If you have service unavailable in Cullman area with AT&T please call them. I have had trouble since October of 2010 like most AT&T users have. I have three phones in the family plan. Samsung Rugby, LG and a Blackbery. All have to be powered off and then powered on atleast 6 times a day to use. The Rugby sometimes has to be reset 10 times a day. I have called AT&T and they say they do not have many complaints from the Cullman area. They want me to upgrade. If I upgrade I will still get Service Unavailable. I know atleast 35 people in this area that have these problems with at&t. Please call and let AT&T know that you are also having these problems. I will not renew my contract with them. I will just have to keep paying them for very poor service until all three contracts are up... ... .

We just aquired the phone and the signal reception is terrible. Both phone's crackle and the voice cuts in and out. We previously used the LG Chocolate touch and didn't have this problem.

Many areas with no bars. Have dropped calls at least 3 times driving from Birmingham on 65, sometimes more. AT&T always blames my phone.

After more than a year with Cingular I was cancelled because they determined I was using their towers less than 50 percent of the time; a condition over which I had no control. My reception near my home was always poor anyway and I'm now with Verizon where I get 2 to 3 bars at my home location.

I was with AT&T before Cingular took over there accounts. I have always had good services and very seldom do I have any dropped calls. There are a few spots that I have no coverage but it is better than Verizon. The office staff in Cullman have always been very rude and standoffish about how they had their Customers. I will stay with Cingular.

Do not migrate to Cingular from AT&T yet if you live in the Cullman area. Not only will the former AT&T towers not be seamless (in descent working order) for at least another 3-5 months. You will also be loosing any roaming privaliges with CORR Wirelesss, and T- Mobile, the only two GSM networks in the county. AT&T still has contracts with CORR, and T- Mobile. We're talking major drop off in service. Call the old AT&T store now Cingular, the one in the Publix shopping center in Decayur, or even the North Cullman Radio Shack they'll give you the skinny. Stay with AT&T until you are forced at gunpoint, then go with CORR or someone else.
