Works fine in MOST of the MAIN parts of town. Reception very fuzzy and iffy on just the outskirts - not just the boonies... Very poor reception at my home - just outside of town.

Switched from T-Mobile to Nextel. Was considering ATT but tried Nextel. Great signal inside my house in the "boonies." I drive to Huntsville daily and except for a few weak spots near the west side of Athens no problems at all. If I had an external car antenna there would be no problems at all. Very pleased.

T-Mobile sucks! We never get good reception. I am constantly dropping calls. The 3g service sucks too. I would not recommend T-Mobile to anyone. We are planning onh getting out of our contract. There is no sense in paying almost $200 dollars a month for this!

I live up near the stateline reception here is very spotty. I have used a tracfone for a few years up this way coverage averages around two bars. T-Mobile although their map shows us around 2 bars we got none up this way. We litterally had to be in Zip City to get at least 2 to 3 bars. We have a new tower up this way but it's not very strong don't know who owns it but they should have made it better.

Around town T-Mobile gets good (3 bars or better) reception, but then who doesn't? You will hit pockets where it gets iffy. I travel due to military and need a service that performs well consistently. While returning from Birmingham, somewhere between Moulton and Muscle Shoals on Hwy. 157, I completely lost signal 5 times in twenty minutes! I am furious. I could SEE a cellular tower and couldn't get reception. I am not paying a cellular service good money to NOT provide coverage. As you leave Tuscumbia heading toward Underwood Mountain, you are so completely screwed that they should refund your money for any time spent out that direction. They don't provide Hwy. Patrol Emergency service (*HP) either. Fortunately my contract runs out later this month and I can get a better service; and I will.

We moved out into the county from "town" and our Verizon service has never failed us at either location. The only times we have ever lost signal, even when traveling, have been when we were in the mountains. Overall we are very satisfied. We just wish that the phones and services were a little more competitively priced.

All reception around here is sketchy. My wife gets better signals with her razr3. We recently moved here and switched from Cingular because coverage was nonexistent in more places. Customer service and signal strength with AT&T dropped markedly after Cingular merger. Cingular kept stringing us along with failed promises of tower conversions. Decide to switch companies after 23 years. Verizon Customer service has been exceptional. Although I do get coverage in more areas, with Verizon I get more dropped calls. With Cingular your phone would hang on to a connection until the signal returned where Verizon will just drop the call.

Not having a land line at your house and little signal on your cel sucks. I talked on my phone here for 47 seconds one time without it dropping me. I was impressed. Thanks Verizon.
