I hate Sprint / Nextel network here. You can't get good service at all here. Most people have Verizon. Im switching today to the Push To Talk. **Sorry, didn't mean to put Verizons name on teh service bars. I was thinking Verizon and didn't mean to click that.**
I had AT&T and service was horrible. I would always drop my call or get the Call Failed or Network Busy thing. Verizon has amazing service and I always seem to keep 4-5 bars everywhere I am. 3G is speeds are fast too! I highly recommend Verizon.
Poor to no reception. I sometimes can not even get reception when I am outside. My husband and I can not even talk cell phone to cell phone. This is horrible.
Inside the store, iPhone got no signal on AT&T. Switched SIM to T-Mobile in the same iPhone, and get 4 bars. Overall better coverage and data speeds using the same device.
Verizon Wireless is no good in this area. It's about a 10 mile radius of no reception to poor reception. If you travel over Chapman Mountain it's guaranteed your call will be dropped. It hasn't always been like this. I called them about it and was advised a technician was in my area, that there is a signal issue and the problem would be resolved in 30-60 days. Three months later and no resolution yet. They did suggest that they would wave an early termination fee if we'd like to cancel our service with them. You'd think if Verizon is going to advertise "no dropped calls" they'd have it fixed in a heavily populated area like this.
I switched from the company that was bought out by AT&T two years ago. Reception at my work location in the courthouse was non existant and one of the companies reps told me they needed a repeater in the downtown are but didn't waqnt to spend the money. He recommended I change service and I did. The Verison dealer on Jones Valley Dr. recommended a V325 cell phone with the retractable antenna to enhance reception. I bought it and since then I've been all over town, the Smokies and several surrounding states with excellent reception. I believe the type phone you purchase can make all the difference.
Poor Reception in my home, on Southview, and in the area. Cannot get a signal along Indian Creek near the traffic circle or even on top of the overpasses on Resarch Park Blvd. Have had this problem with Verizon and Cingular. Thing is I can see a cell tower from the back of my home, must be another service than what I use.
