I live between Redstone Arsenal west side and the Huntsville airport. Reception is awesomely great. However, when I lived close to University of Alabama Huntsville just northeast of Hwy. 72 and Sparkman reception was much poorer. I talked to one of the Sprint employees in the Madison mall store and they said that 4G was already being tested in Huntsville. If 4G comes, Sprint will be the best since it has no limits. ATT has a 2G limit, Verizon has a 5G limit. I use Netflix and the limit matters.

Recently switched to Verizon this month, and I am very happy with my service! Coming from AT&T, I love the 3G on Verizon. I have no found a dead zone yet, and data speeds are great. My advice is if you need a new network or are looking around, give Verizon a look. They are great, even in rural areas!

Switched today and love Verizons service. I posted on Nextel and how bad they are. I didn't mean to put Verizons name on there tho for the first one.

I had AT&T and service was horrible. I would always drop my call or get the Call Failed or Network Busy thing. Verizon has amazing service and I always seem to keep 4-5 bars everywhere I am. 3G is speeds are fast too! I highly recommend Verizon.

I switched from the company that was bought out by AT&T two years ago. Reception at my work location in the courthouse was non existant and one of the companies reps told me they needed a repeater in the downtown are but didn't waqnt to spend the money. He recommended I change service and I did. The Verison dealer on Jones Valley Dr. recommended a V325 cell phone with the retractable antenna to enhance reception. I bought it and since then I've been all over town, the Smokies and several surrounding states with excellent reception. I believe the type phone you purchase can make all the difference.

Excellent signal at this particular location and most of HSV. I know each cell carrier has it's advantages and disadvantages. If you want to get excellent customer service and superb signal through T-mobile, then having that cell provider is Highly recommened!

I changed from Corr Wireless to T-Mobile because Corr had no signal at my home in NE Hsv and poor signal in most places in Hsv. My T-Mobile signal is full bars most places in Huntsville. I went from Corr's Endless Minutes plan with no signal (so it was unusable) at $50 / month to T-Mobile's 1500 minutes a month for $40 / month. I am so happy with my signal strength now. What good is unlimited time when you have *no* signal strength? BTW, I work next to the Credit Union on Wynn Dr.and have full bars everywhere in my building. With Corr I had to go to the windows facing the Credit Union (or go outside) to be able to talk reliably. 12 / 30 / 2005

Good coverage. Huntsville has no 4G though. Never drop calls... For some reason though, sometimes, I only have 1 or 2 bars, but even though voice calls are clear and do not drop!

Back in the day, Sprint's service was horrible, but I have to admit, after leaving them and coming back (left:2001 came back:2007), they have REALLY improved their service. I admit, I don't get coverage EVERYWHERE, but who does? I get great signal especially for the extremely cheap rates that I pay. I love the service and don't want to switch. Any time I have an issue-they're right there to help. I love having service with them and I get great coverage-wouldn't trade it!

Inside the store, iPhone got no signal on AT&T. Switched SIM to T-Mobile in the same iPhone, and get 4 bars. Overall better coverage and data speeds using the same device.

sprint has really beefed up their network in the huntsville area over the past few years, coverage has gotten very good in most places, and with mostly all of their plans including free roaming, your phone will switch to a network (in huntsville it switches to Verizon) that can make a call. I have no problems in Huntsville / Madison any more!

Over the past 3 Years Nextel reception has gotten considerably better. As of now Verizon and Nextel probably have the best coverage, followed by T-Mobile, then Cingular, then Sprint.

Overall good service with Nextel in my area, for some reason when I go into a certain wal-mart service drops almost to nothing, however when I go into all of the other wal marts and sams club, phone has full service. I have been told the roofs at some of the older wal-marts block out cell phone service.

Great reception in my house unless I'm next to the computer; solid reception around town. The great thing about Nextel is that once you get service, you tend to keep it, and 1 bar calls sound just as clear and good as 4 bar calls. Only location with spotty reception is one of the local wal-marts due to the construction of the roof. This reception problem does not happen in any other wal-mart.

T-Mobile by far is the best carrier. It's only low in one area where I live but everywhere else is great. If you're getting a new carrier then I recommend you get T-Mobile. It the best I've had so far.
