I've had AT&T in Huntsville for several years, and I've never had any issues with dropped calls or poor service. Just wish they had LTE here.

Its been this way for 2 years and nothing has been done. I have no reception at my work place so I may be changing soon. My contract expires in February. It's funny that the coverage map shows this area to be in the best reception range. That is just not so.

Cingular is terrible all over Huntsville and Madison. Dropped calls when you cross streets in town. I am switching to Nextel.

I switched to the V551 GSM Phone on Dec. 4, 2004 and have had nothing but problems with it every since. I have dropped calls all the time. I use only the phone for calls and on the average I use it for less than an hour between charges. The battery only stays charged at the most 1 1 / 2 days if that. Prior to this phone I had a Nokia 6340I Gait phone and never had any problems with it. I live in the same place as I do now. Cingluar has replaced my V551 phone several times as well as the battery. The replacement did not take care of the problems. I'm switching back to my Nokia 6340I phone as soon as I can. I can look out my door and see one tower and where I work has another one you can see. Both within 2 miles of each other.

Reception is 4 bars out of 5 inside my house, but only if I connect my phone to a Wilson cellular mobile antenna I purchased to improve the signal strength.

Sprint reception sucks out of city. Never get more than 1 or 2 bars and for calls drop within few minutes. Sprint says they have decent coverage in that area, God only knows their definition of decent. Changed phones, did not help much. Offered a booster for free of cost but will add a monthly fee for using it. I refuesed it anyway. I am going to be out as soon as my contract is done.

Whatever, Sprint has good service pretty much all over the place. I travel for business and even go to some considerably remote locations (read: Fort Irwin, CA) and still seem to have good coverage. Also have a Verizon phone (business phone) and it gets good coverage too. Know people with ATT phones and they're okay. Used to have T-Mobile as my business phone, it was crap. Pretty much I think any of them are fine except for T-mobile. Sprint seems to be the best as far as prices though. Verizon seems a little high.

Calls dropped constantly. Thought I could make do with Wi-fi calling but those calls get dropped as well. Everyone with T-Mobile who has visited has had the same problem.
