Poor reception near home. Inside home - no reception. Trying to figure out if Cingular network is the problem or Motorola phone. The farther from my house I move, the better the cell phone reception. Calls go in and out when traveling around Millbrook. But, I get great reception inside Wal-mart... go figure!

I live in Millbrook, virtually where it and Deatsville adjoin each other near and I've had no real problems. When I first moved out here, there was spotty reception and I could only get a good signal in one room of my house. I don't know if it's because of the ATT merger or if the Cingular tower received a boost, but I get good signals now at home. There is a small dead area nearby, down near Kenner Creek, but that's because it's at the bottom of a valley.

Once I cross into Millbrook from Montgomery, signal is almost non-existent. It will go from full to no bars in a matter of feet, and dropped calls are common place. All too often, when placing a call, an error message pops up or you get a error 22 network busy message. If I could do it, I would be off of Nextel tomorrow. Service is horrible and the phone selection... well, there isn't a phone selection. Proprietary Motorola network, so only Motorola phones... I miss Nokia.
