I live on hwy 148 going towards Millerville, Ashland area... i have good service with Boost Motorola i1 which runs off of Nextel and Sprint towers... AT&T,T-Mobile, Straight Talk, and Net 10 rarely have service.

I have to walk up to the top of a hill and hold the phone just right to get 1 bar. Need a tower for the Lay Lake area.

Struggled for a couple of years with Tmo, then Sprint, and about 6 months ago voice and 3g perked up on Sprint Evo in the area of Lay Dam. Voice OK but 3g barely useable via Sprint and texts took 2 days to get thru. I thought this might be low priority on a new Verizon tower and tried a MiFi 2200 - WOW. 2+ megabit, faster than my DSL at home. Latency was about 300 ms, no prize, but I traveled from Childersburg to Hidden Valley with MiFi on a laptop and only lost data connection in a couple of VERY remote areas. The data cap sucks but we finally have 3G at the lake!

Verizon network is overall the best here. I have great 3G data coverage all over. I switched form AT&T because the service here stinks. And to the comment below, AT&T network roams a lot here. You don't know but you roam off the old Unicel network which is now owned by Verizon. AT&T is horrible.

Visiting from OK. Phone reception goes from nothing to three and jumps to five. Call and messaging seem fine, but where's the 3G and the Internet loading is like winning the lottery. I have used the phone in OK, Missouri, Texas, and Florida with no issues at all. What's the deal here?

I have to go outside,climb a bank and it will work most of the time.

Most of the time I am on digital roam. I have no service inside any building around town.

Reception off hwy 21 on Odena Rd S is not to reliable at all. I can be in the middle of a call in the exact same spot and the call will drop. AT&T use to have great reception. It looks like I am going to be dropping them like a bad habit since they keep dropping my calls.

Little to no reception with this phone. My husband usually has some reception (maybe 1-2 bars), but his phone has an external antenna. My service seems to come in and out, but usually only if I'm standing outside. I can be in the middle of a call and the reception will go away and my call gets dropped. Very annoying!

Good reception a mile south of Childersburg, then nothing from there to Lay Dam. Zero bars in eastern Fayetteville, Unity, Marble Valley, Waterford. On the water at Lay Dam, there's no service south of Waxahatchee. A few hilltops north of Paint Creek get reliable service.

No reception on Hwy. 21 in front of Fairmont. Little to no reception at my house on Alice Drive. Little reception at the park.

Poor reception, sometimes no signal unless I bounce off a Unicell Tower... .btw, Unicell works everywhere, even in the bottom floor of city hall, in the jail, which is underground in concrete and metal

I can see a tower up on the hill but no service. T-Mobile works well.

Very little reception, none at my residence on Old F'ville road, unless you climb onto the roof, and I think its great there. Maybe cut a hole in ceiling for easier access to roof, or just dont use it at all.

Just south of this intersection, reception is none. We have a lake house about 13 miles south and reception is very limited on the lake as well.
