For the most part, I'm very satisfied out here with this carrier service. However, in my house, the signal rate can fluctuate wildly between one bar and up to four bars. It's typically around three, which is more than fine for making calls. In town, and as you get closer to Montgomery, Alltel is absolutely fantastic for call quality and signal. I just wish that out here, there would be a little better reception.

Need to start backing up there advertisements about more coverage than any other carrier with some action. Mother had some carrier that was bought out by verizon, before that no coverage at my house after Verizon took over in no time at all she had coverage. Still call AT&T and they will tell you coverage is coming soon. This has been going on for 5-6 year's.

My reception fluctuates between 1 bar and none. It is absolutely horrible. There is a tower less than half a mile from my house but it does not have AT&T on it. For the number of residents that live in this area that is a real shame.

WHY ISN'T CINGULAR (NOW AT&T) ON ONE OF THESE TOWERS YET?

We have had Cingular for almost 5 years. Poor to no reception. Keep waiting for miracles. None so far. Just bought a Blackberry for my wife. Signed up for the data service and gps. Horrid. We are going to send the phone back, and cancel the service. My contract will be up in August and I think (again because of the comment here) try Verizon.

Thank goodness there is a tower now on Old Ware Rd. We had practically no cell service in this area until that tower was finally constructed. Now residents have the option of having no landlines and can take comfort in knowing their cell phones will function. I believe Alltel, Nextel and T-Mobile are on that tower now and hopefully AT&T will be on that tower soon so I can get an i-phone.

I used to get one bar at home, but now I get none!

Had cell phones for 12 years, none works at my home. Had Cingular for 5 years. Have had two frieds with Verizon. Both works fantastic in my home. They also work in my office building at Gunter which Cingular does not. When my contract is up will leave Cingular never to return. I asked for a 4 month drop because it does not work. They were happy to for $350. Cingular, you are history when my contract is up. Bring on Verizon!

I have a Cingular phone, I was promised that we would get coverage up here in Emerald Mtn. I didn't drop Cingular because of this promise. WE GET NOTHING, if your lucky and go outside may get a connection. COME ON CINGULAR GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. or quit advertising "fewer drop calls" Your coverage is the worst I have seen.

This is bad... .I want to stay with Cingular but I am going to have to switch because there is NO COVERAGE at my house or where I work which is in Eclectic, AL. There are two new towers in my area, but ITS not Cingular.
