Alltel does a great job with their service. I have had problems before; usually turned out to be phone issues. Most phones have better quality now, and my service is very reliable. I am almost always able to get a little signal in places where other providers drop off.

The company was started just north of Conway in a town called Greenbrier. I live near the Greenbrier area and the reception is HORRIBLE to say the least. I get dropped calls in Conway and Greenbrier all the time. I don't recommend Alltel to anyone.

I have AT&T with iphone 3gs and I live on a hill but my reception is one to two bars one minute, to searching the next few. The talk quality is hearing every other word alot of the times, to dropped calls (numerous times). I have found it bad in several different areas also. (Bismarck). I am very dissappointed in AT&T's service. They lack that desire to be best and act like it is no big deal for their services to have such issues. I am a very dedicated individual to a service, for example I was with Sprint for over 12 years, before AT&T. These have been two of the roughest years with a cell phone carrier, even though the iphone was very exciting! I have decided that I will hopefully not ever go back to AT&T for their service. Very poor performance from one of the leading companies. Sprint was awesome but you have to live in a major city where towers are located. So, Verizon here I come to test your towers at making my world come to my hand!

I can see the cell phone tower from my house, probably less than 1 mile away. However, I have 4 different cell phones, 2 of which are smart phones. The type of phone does not seem to matter. The signal strength flucuates constantly and almost every call gets dropped or I have trouble getting a strong enough signal to place a call.

AT&T tower is 3 miles from my home. I can see it from my front door! I have dropped calls, SLOW performance and fluctuating bar strength CONSTANTLY from 1 bar up to 4 and back down. Not a constant strength. iPhone is sound and runs perfectly in town. This is ridiculous to be so close to a tower and have below average service!

There are only two known spots where you loose coverage. That would be in between the Student Center and Short. The other is going underneath Bernard by the Student Center.

service and reception has been second rate since AT&T have joined. my business supplies 100+ phones to employees and almost as many pagers. we will be looking very hard at Verizon next budget cycle.

Due to T-Mobile's agreements with AT&T cell coverage around town is typically good, however on campus I will typically lose signal inside any of the buildings. The internet coverage however, is appalling. T-Mobile's website claims they have full edge coverage for the area, but I rarely can connect to it.
