I live in Fayetteville and work in Bentonville and I have been very pleased with my switch from Verizon / Alltel to AT&T several months back. My girlfriend and I (she has a Samsung) always seem to have a great signal traveling around Fayetteville, up I-540, etc. It is imperative that I have cell service at all times for work, and I'm comfortable camping at Beaver Lake with AT&T's service, which has been very reliable up there (including data use). The only place where I've had issues is where I work, in one of the larger buildings in downtown Bentonville. I have a dropped call, perhaps once or twice a month, while making calls from there and data service is considerably slower. At home here in Fayetteville, the service is perfect. This, coupled with Verizon's pathetic customer service, is why we're glad we switched.

Seldom have I had an issue with call quality in town. I've had Cingular / AT&T for years and their service has always been good in town. Going to or from some of the smaller cities in the area is not as good though, such as going to or from Elkins / Lincoln etc.

Several instances where calls take too long to connect and, even though the timer is running and the phone displays "connected" neither I nor the person on the other line can hear anything. One representative at the AT&T store claims problems are because the contractor installing the 3G network messed up and the data and voice frequencies are interfering with each other. The problem is being worked on. Since I don't know exactly if that is how things work, I cannot comment on it. None of my [several] calls to 611 ever told me that.

I have to travel up and down hwy 265 (crossover rd) daily and I have poor to NO coverage and this is in town! Cingular is the worst service I have ever try using and soon It'll be gone thank God. I've tried complaining and all I go was "oh well" that's a bad area. Hell, that's 5-6 miles long in town, come on. And this doesn't include the calls I lose in other parts of the city and county. to say I was disatified would be a grose understatement.

Its the worst service I've ever had. And if you call and ask Cingular about it they will tell you they don't know what going on. Now that they've gone together with AT&T it's gotten even worse. They have way to may cell phones running on there frequency and they aren't prepared. I get messages like 14 DAYS after the person called!

I can usually receive and make calls if I'm upstairs, but the phone may drop the connection at any time. Downstairs, the phone may ring, but even if it does, attempting to answer is futile. Forget placing a call.

Every single phone model/service provider that has come into my house experiences poor reception. I can get phone calls (a ring tone) if I leave the phone, on its side, by the window. But as soon as I pick it up, the connection is dropped. Once I go outside the house I can get about 2-3 bars and not so many connection drops. This drives me absolutely crazy!!
I've experienced this in all kinds of weather with no noticeable difference in either clear or stormy skies.
