Originally I had very poor, or no, reception at home. Hot Springs Villages, due to topogragphy has poor reception almost everywhere. I complained to Cingular for this was my second phone for the area. I was instructed to drive to location where I could receive reception as indicated by the bars. I did so. The phone rang within the fifteen minutes I had been notified of and I was given instruction to follow. (Hang up, leave the phone on, drive back home and call a secific number.) I did, someone asked if it was OK now. I replied perfect for I had a full five bars at home. We thanked one another and it has been perfect since. NO, I do Not know what they did but they can fix Cinngular at your location if they wish.

1 bar if lucky. Worst place we've ever lived for both cell reception and internet speed. ATT has abominable service here and doesn't appear to have any intention of improving it. G4? We are still on Edge. No G anything.

One bar. I called ATT and they said they would look into it, but so far no improvement. I can't get reception inside my house, but if I move outdoors I can get one bar and manage some communication. Really weird! Can't say I'm very happy with ATT / Cingular at Hot Springs Village, AR

If we walk to the top of a hill, we may get a signal. A friend has Altel and gets calls at my home with no problem, unfortunately, my full time home is in Texas and Altel is not an option for us.

Alost all of Hot Springs Village has no signal at all. Sure it's great at the main gate when driving down Desoto, but once you get about 3 miles your signal is gone. I've asked Cingular about this and there responce was "they are putting up new towers all the time." Maybe they are but not where I and many other pre-existing customers need them. I may give Sprint a try once this long two year contract runs out.

The reception throughout Hot Springs Village is very poor. My phone was constantly hunting for a signal on both AMPS and CDMA. There were places where you could talk, but moving five feet would drop the call.

Alltel's service is terrible and they said that they don't care if I can't make a call from my home, I still have to complete my 2 years obligation, or pay $200.00 for early cancellation. I can't even get a half of one bar at my home. I tried a Cingular phone from my house, and it works great. I get 3-4 bars.

NO CELL PHONE will get reception on the Cortez Golf Course in Hot Springs Village, AR. There is no tower to the Northwest. Alltel will sell you a phone even though they are aware that you can't use it in this area.
