Usually one bar if any. Have to go outside house to make most calls, then most fail or drop.

I get 1 or 2 bars. Voice connection unintelligible and 99% calls drop.

Alltel Headquarters, the reception is perfect (it better be ;))

Too many drop calls. Alltel's answer to this problem is that they will credit the customer 1 minute back to their account. Wow what a bargain! My advice go with someone else.

So far Alltel seems to be the best in littlerock. I get full bars all around this area and no droped calls.

I have used Cingular, Alltel, and Sprint. Cingular is by far the worst. Even if you have full signal, the call quality is still bad. They claim their GSM is so great... well it's the worst technology... Most people don't know, but GSM is TDMA, just with higher data speeds. Always go with a CDMA carrier, CDMA offers the best call quality, and the signal travels further. Alltel reception is great in Arkansas, but their phone selection isn't. Sprint seems to offer the best phones, and has great reception all over the Little Rock metro area. Sprint also offers free roaming, so anytime you are in the woods with no Sprint coverage, you can roam off of the Alltel towers :-) With the new EVDO high speed broadband internet Sprint has, that just puts the icing on the cake. You can watch tv, listen to sirius satellite radio, and surf the web on your phone at broadband speeds. I highly recommend Sprint to anyone that is searching for an all around great carrier.

Experience low QoS in this area with Cingular. At about Fair Park Blvd. I dropped a call yesterday, though usually it just breaks up and I have to tell the person on the other end to 'hang on' a bit. Without a PDA phone I doubt you'd have a dropped call; just low signal strength and QoS.

Excellent Sprint PCS coverage in parts of the village; other parts not so great. Better than Cingular by far. Get the roaming plan if you use Sprint in a rural state like Arkansas. It only costs $5 extra and allows for unlimited roaming.

Experienced full coverage GSM / EDGE in a high-rise executive office building.

Excellent coverage here. Best coverage in Little Rock. Beats Cinguar hands-down. Call quality is better on Sprint's 1900 MHz network, and EV-DO supports up to 1 megabit of data bandwidth compared to 144k with EDGE (the GSM standard for data).
