Lots of Dropped calls Had Nokia 6800 series was great for the last 5 yrs wonderful signal then AT&T merged with Cingular and signal started getting weaker they kept telling me my phone was bad 3 phones later I bought the big bad RAZOR right the top of the line and while I admit I liked the design my service was the same dropped calls all the time I am locked into a contract and if I can say 1 thing to help anybody out there my service was the best with Alltel and I will be back with them someday after all what good is roll over if you can't hear the person you want to talk to? Too many drop calls. Alltel's answer to this problem is that they will credit the customer 1 minute back to their account. Wow what a bargain! My advice go with someone else.

Near-perfect reception all over the Little Rock metro area, but *incredibly* bad dropped calls to the point that my service is unusable. AT&T made some change about a month ago (mid-to-late July, 2004) that have turned both of my NEC 525 phones into basically paper-weights due to the unbelievable frequency of dropped calls (9 out of 10 calls last between 15 seconds to 2 minutes before being dropped) even though they have near-perfect reception 99.9% of the time. I have friends on AT&T who have other model phones and have no problems, so it may be some small incompatability that they introduced recently that only affects the NEC phones. Beats me, and AT&T has been no help at all. Rating: Reception - 10/10, Reliability - 1/10.

I live 10 miles due south of downtown Little Rock. Our signal strength is poor. We have cellphones and wireless access card. Cell phones can have up to 20 dropped calls a day! Internet constantly switches between HSDPA and EDGE, with occasional drops. AT&T sort of admitted that the iPhone sales has diminished network performance, see DSL Reports story "AT&T (Sort Of) Admits To iPhone Network Strain"

Excellent coverage here. Best coverage in Little Rock. Beats Cinguar hands-down. Call quality is better on Sprint's 1900 MHz network, and EV-DO supports up to 1 megabit of data bandwidth compared to 144k with EDGE (the GSM standard for data).

Excellent GSM coverage due to SBA tower beside Interstate. Sprint has a tower here also.

Had wonderful reception at this location with Suncom and AT&T. It became Cingular and now I am "roaming" in my own home! Pretty sad when I know there are 2 towers within 2miles of my home!

4 Alltel phones in my house and 2 next door and every one has the same issue. Horrible reception and dropped calls. sometimes improves if we go outside in the backyard but who wants to have to do that! Going to attempt to have them release us from our contract.
