We get 1 to 2 bars on daily average and service is not good... too many dropped or garbled calls. There service in my area is not dependable... you may want to choose another carrier.

reception is generally good along 540 and in larger towns, but don't expect seamless coverage. Dead spots around beaver lake, patches along 71north in missouri, some patches between fayetteville and little rock. If you're on mountain roads with lots of switchbacks, you're pretty much out of luck. Just enjoy the scenery.

For the last 2 months I am facing too many problems with Cingular service. Very often my phone acts weird and I am not able to receive or make any calls. I get the message "User Busy" or "Service Unavailable" or "Insert Sim".

Great service with Verizon! My sister with AT&T can never use her phone because of drop calls and poor service. Also, AT&T has a horrible rural network. Verizon wins hands down!

Cell phone reception was very good under Altell at our location. Since being taken over by Verizon, we now drop calls all day, every day. We cannot even stay connected with Verizon long enough for them to troubleshoot our receptivity problem. This is a big enough problem we're changing proviers.
