There is a tower less than a mile from my house but I don't know who's tower it is. I miss a lot of calls and drop even more.

The phone sucks. That is what I have on my screen when you turn the phone on. I have taken the phone back about 6 times and was given another one. Of course, I am still under contract with the Audiovox so I was given the same one otherwise, I would have to pay $150.00 at the cheapest for a phone. I drove from the light at Brockington and 107 to Bobbit Lane and 107. I had no reception at all. I placed a call and drove back through the area and my call was lost. This happens almost anywhere I go. Even in my house. When I get a signal, I have to stop and not move or I will lose the call or have no reception. I called Alltel numerous times to be told "I see that you have been a customer of Alltel since 2000 and I want to thank you for that." Then I am told that I can not get a different phone at one of the good prices, I have to pay full price. Gee, what "thanks I get for being a long time customer!" I have not had any other issues with Alltel. Any other time I had to talk to customer service, it's been great. Any issue was taken care of promptly and to my advantage.

Bought the phone 30 days ago. After so long it drops calls. I have called Cingular customer service several times. They tell me nothing is wrong with my phone. I am sending it back today and ending contract with Cingular. The recption is good around Little Rock. In some area's in the state of Arkansas and other states no signal.

East or west bound on I-40 at or near Levy I drop many calls. Otherwise my reception is good.

Their reception is ok except for lines being dropped every time you turn around but I guess that's pretty much everywhere. Their biggest problem is their lack of customer service. It is AWFUL - whether on the phone or at their Lakewood Village store (and I would NOT recommend going there!). They don't offer any kind of incentatives to keep their customers. Their biggest "selling point" is that "they don't charge you a fee to change your service and ALL the other companies do". Well, that may be but I know for a fact that Cingular will waive that charge to keep you as a customer (I've got both Alltel and Cingular phones). Alltel is not interested in keeping you as a customer - they're only interested in new customers and getting them into a contract.
