Can not make or receive calls in my home or front yard. Reception cuts out until phone call drops. 100% of calls will fail. Back yard is Touch and go, never good.

Reception is ok, don't have many problems with dropped calls. 3g speeds are kind of slow though.

When my contract expires in May, I will go with Verizon... ... .In the house, nothing to one or two bars and dropped calls..With a new phone only several days old, we are now missing calls... We spend the summers in NorthEast Pa. in a county so small there is only one red light,,,mountains everywhere and had better service than here in the Phoenix area... .Good-by AT&T... ..

I feel like I might as well take my money and burn it. I am paying a fortune for NO service. Almost every call I make is dropped if it connects at all or the people tell me they can't hear me, I'm breaking up and I have to hang up. I called ATT and did the 40 minute hold thing and they put me through to tech support for another 20 minutes and then the result was, of course, "it's your device". Well, I know it isn't because my husband has the same problem with his phone but I went to apple anyway and they ran a check on my phone and "the device" is fine. They just don't want to let me out of my contract. I don't know what I'm going to do. Hopefully I won't need to call 911 for anything because I have no confidence that it wil work. I love the iphone and HATE ATT.

well the last comment I left was when I had the Nokia mural, I switched to the apple iphone 3gs and have had a better experience, my phones works everywhere I am at in chandler, I pretty much leave it on edge though, since 3g kills the battery faster, i've also noticed that with 3g on my phone gets ok reception, like in some walmarts none, but on edge I get better reception, like in the walmarts where 3g doesn't work, so maybe when you're gonna make calls switch it to edge

i get good reception around this area, around most of the main area in arizona, just at the wal mart on warner and alma school my phone barley works, but other than that AT&T is pretty good, better than when I had tmobile

Lots and lots of drop calls on 3G. on EDGE there is no drop calls at all. 3G coverage is really bad and calls will drop every 2-3 minutes.

Numerous dropped calls. According to doctor's office, known issue.

At Chandler Gilbert Community College if you go into a building I drop calls all the time. AT&T needs to boost signal in this Area. I Constantly have to step outside to get a signal. Same problem a mile away at the chandler mall were the AT&T store is. I asked them why the store gets such good reception. It because they us a signal booster in store.

Reception is most of time 5 bars on 3G (not just EDGE) with AT&T and the iPhone 3G... Sometimes 4 bars on 3G but very rarely below that... I havent dropped too many calls here with AT&T... .I will give up Verizon and go back because AT&T does better in my house than Verizon... I have found AT&T to do real well in almost all of the Phoenix metro area and excel over Sprint in a lot of areas and better than Verizon in my home...

Cingular Reception sucks at Kachina Apts. Have to go outside and hunt for a signal.

Rating of 1 is charitable. I can use my phone at the east end of my table, but if I turn any direction the call drops. This phone is used for business and I find the coverage spotty, at best, throughout the Phoenix area. The East Valley topography is generally flat so the only cause I can imagine is oversubscription. One out of six incoming calls actually ring. I've begun leaving messages apologizing in advance for my probable inability to receive their return call. It's a shame ATT will not invest any of their immense profits into actually making their system work reliably.

I switched from Veriaon to ATT because I bought the iphone... it is awful. Thin king of switching back and paying the 10% restocking fee and 175.00 AT&T fee. I suggest not going with Att.

Just moved here and discovered that reception in my new home is terrible! Have had problems at Dobson / Warner intersection, too. Awful coverage by AT&T in this area!

In and out of service when standing in the same place. Regularly drop calls or just fail to connect. Really BAD.

i've lived near warner and mcqueen and near country club and baseline, and I only got 2 bars max in both places. i've had Motorola and Nokia phones both; neither one made any difference in the quality of my reception. my phone doesn't work in stores or office buildings probably 75% of the time, either. my contract lasts till summer, but i'm definitely bailing early. it'll be worth it, just to be able to use the phone.

I have had no problems with AT&T. Signal is stronger than with Verizon.

Have AT&T and can barely get service in my house / neighborhood. Also cuts in and out on the santan freeway and in other spots in south Chandler. Don't get AT&T.

I have to stand outside apartment to use. Actually saw another person standing outside to use their cell phone too. Asked him what phone he had and he said it was cingular. We laughed. I guess it's good to use Cingular if you like standing outside...

It seems to be getting worse too. Can't be the phone because my wife has Cingular too and has the same poor service.

Great reception in doors as well as on nearby streets.

I always have full bars with my Cingular service on the Blackberry 8700C. Excellent coverage and rollover has me 1000+ in the positive.

I don't get any service in my house on Ocotillo and Cooper. I have to make my long distance calls when I am on the road. I also have a completely black area on Alma School from about Warner to Chandler Blvd. The last day of my contract is today, and I am ecstatic! Don't get Cingular... .worst service I have ever had!

I just switched from T-Mobile to Cingular. I used to receive 3 to 4 bars with T-Mobile. Currently working with the Cingular Tech Support to see if there is anything that can be done. I was told by one support guy that if the phone is on more frequently then it will not get serviced as often. In other words, its not good to leave the phone on all the time. What does this have to do with signal strength?

Customer service has no idea what the problem could be. Reception is fine outside of this 3-mile radius.

Bad service here. Do not get Cingular if in the east valley!

SW of Germann and AZ Ave. Cingular signal is very bad. Verizon is not good either. Test with friends' phone. T-Mobile coverage map shows it's weak area. No antenna in my area?? Should I test Sprint? So Sad...

I get awesome reception around here and I have Cingular prepaid. Which from what I know prepaid usually gets worse service then normal contracts. The only time I ever lose any bars is when I either leave the Chandler area or am in a crowded area with alot of electronics that interfere with the signal. Other then that the service is great around never have had a problem.

I get great reception most of the time 4 - 5 bars, BUT 95% of all calls (incoming and out going) get dropped within 2 minutes. I've had two different phones and have had the same exact result. In Seattle, WA I lived on the phone and never dropped a single call so it's not the phone, it's just the Phoenix area has bad coverage.
