I have the Voyager, and never get dropped calls, HOWEVER. I am on the 4th REFURBISHED Voyager phone. They tell me I can keep getting a refurbished phone for free or pay for a new one! These Voygers have a lot of options, but the touch pad stinks. It scrolls forever, and pushing numbers on the touch pad don't work either, it will enter a totally different number. A real messed up phone that even Verizon employees said has been returned heavily because of the touch screen being faulty. My sister in Iowa has Verizona also..now she has dropped calls 3 times a day on an average.

Reception inside my house is not very reliable... I have dropped enough calls and signals in the house to not trust that Verizon is as good as they used to be... EVDO is not so good in many cases, 1xRTT mode does better a lot of the time with verizon... Blackberry Curve 8330 and Samsung A930 didn't do to well in my house as well as my girlfriend's Blackberry Storm also had dropped calls here... Sometimes I get three or four bars but it is hard to keep the good signal... People who have visited my house in the past had no trouble using their Verizon phones... .So I think that Verizon is losing repeaters here and I'm surprised it really hasn't improved in the last few weeks by much...

"Can You Hear Me Now?" Yes I can... this is the most liberating change of service I have ever made... see my ATT post for July 28th. Verizon has yet to drop a single call for me and I've been all over the area east of Central in Phoenix... the most exciting thing is I can, for the first time in nearly four years, use my cell phone anywhere in my residence... Bye, bye ATT... you're just a rotten memory now... Verizon --> you're great, not perfect, but great. Perfect will require more time on line for me.

Throughout Chandler, Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria, the whole valley has been great coverage, My phone works all the way to the salt river and while floating down it, it worked at the south rim of the Grand Canyon, no problem, it works from here to kingman, no problem, some small dead areas from kingman to vegas, but its not so bad, I have been all over the state, and service is allways there for me for calls, Enhanced services coverage areas are smaller but I am thrilled with my service and have been for 5 years!

Rarely have any signal issues anywhere in the Valley, especially at home. Want to switch carriers due to Verizon's unfuriating phone-crippling practices, but great service and sound quality otherwise.

While I have good days and bad days, I generally cannot receive or make calls from the first floor of my house (built in 1994). Outside I'm OK, but inside is hit-or-miss (and usually "miss"). A Verizon rep told me it was due to some interference put out by the Intel plant on the NW corner of Rural and Chandler.

Alma School and Ray, Chandler, AZ 85225 Wed Jul 13, 2005

I started with T-Mobile.. didn't work in my house. So I switched to Cingular last week. Do not get Cingular. They said they were "putting up more towers" and to wait. But I got out of my contract (I was still within my 30 days). I switched to Verizon and it works great! The sound wasn't as crystal clear as GSM, but full bars indoor and out. That's more important to me than cd-quality sound. Even at work (Kyrene and Ray). No more dropped calls. If you are looking for a carrier, I recommend Verizon. And I've only been a customer for a few days. Also, the people who helped me sign up were SO nice. It was the best experience I've had (and I've had all the major carriers) - Best service (in my own opinion) and best coverage. STAY AWAY FROM CINGULAR. And, if you just signed up with them, and you live in the east valley - my recommendation is to switch to Verizon or sprint. And I have friends who are trapped in their contracts who would agree.

Best with Verizon. Have Sprint and it drops calls all the time. Very noisy. When I first got Verizon I kept asking people "can you hear me now?" because it is so crystal clear that I get no backround noise. Their service is even better than my home land line.
