Looks like Sprint is finally upgrading their towers in Flagstaff (Aug 2010). I'm now getting 3G, but reception is horrible. Perhaps they are still working on the upgrade, but I get almost no reception from the east side of town clear out to the Winona exit on 89... Which is where I live and need to be able to receive calls.

I would say that my reception with Sprint has been between good and Perfect. My personal experience has been almost on par with Verizon, which I had previously. Data seemed slow on my Centro, though.

If you live in Flagstaff, DO NOT USE T-MOBILE. I have been suffering with T-Mobile for years now and finally decided to end it. I get no reception in my house at all so if ever I want to make a call I have to drive down to the main street.

I get good coverage with T-Mobile in flagstaff, but the service drops off as soon as I get out of town. It's dirt cheap though. Also don't get service at snowbowl. T-mobile is fine for me in town and when i'm not travelling to remote places.

One bar inside of the house. One bar outside of the house. Just spoke to their customer service, and they said that the area has excellent coverage according to their map and have no plans for anykind of improvements or enhancements.

NO service in buildings, only outside... sometimes. T-mobile's service really sucks, but the customer service is incredible, love them. And they are inexpensive too. Just make sure you are by a window when you need to make a call if you are in a building

I've had Verizion for just about two years. I've got service everywhere in town(including in the basement shops downtown) with no dead zones. The call quality isnt always the greatest, but it gets the job done everywhere. The only major holes in service I've found are on 180 / 64 from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon there's about 45 min of dead zone on a 90 min drive. Also up to the north near lee's ferry there is NO service anywhere after the bridge. In town, out and about around town in the forest, up at snowbowl, down in the canyon on the way to Sedona. I've got service just about everywhere.

I always have full bars of 3G and voice coverage with Verizon even inside buildings. I go back and forth between flagstaff an Phoenix and I never loose my 3G signal. My iPhone on the otherhand has terrible service inside any building but great coverage outdoors. Between Phoenix and flag is no service with AT&T. Buy Verizon!
