3g became active in August and service is excellent. I get pretty much everything for $80 / month. Nobody even comes close to matching that. Coverage is comprable to Verizon because they share CDMA towers. If you want to pay more and get less, go with Verizon or ATT. Everyone else isn't even worth comparing because of the limited reception.

Looks like Sprint is finally upgrading their towers in Flagstaff (Aug 2010). I'm now getting 3G, but reception is horrible. Perhaps they are still working on the upgrade, but I get almost no reception from the east side of town clear out to the Winona exit on 89... Which is where I live and need to be able to receive calls.

I would say that my reception with Sprint has been between good and Perfect. My personal experience has been almost on par with Verizon, which I had previously. Data seemed slow on my Centro, though.

If we stand just right we can talk.We do not want to leave srpint, because this is the way we keep in touch with our son. He is in the military. My husband is a tow truck / heavey hauler and we need very good phone reception all the time.
