power ranch area, home and stores no servive,dropped calls. put in 8 "trouble tickets" to their tech support still no help.nice to pay for a cell phone you can't use!

No matter what phone you use, or what carrier you are with, here's what you need to check if you are in a 'dead zone' while in your house... If you get 'free roaming' on your contract, go into your phones menu and set the phone on 'roam only'... this forces the phone off whatever network it runs on (or is specifically looking for), and makes it search for the nearest tower, regardless of what company the tower belongs to. If you get a stronger signal that way, keep your phone on that setting while in the area... Easy!

Sprint finally switched me from a Sanyo VI2300 to a Nokia 3155i and it made a world of difference. If you are having problems with Sprint reception, put your foot down and demand they get you into a Nokia 3155i... it's a much better phone with improved reception and many more features. Where the VI2300 had no signal strength, the 3155i has at least two bars of signal. I am not dropping the calls like I used to. Sprint transferred me over to their 'phone insurance people' and they upgraded me for free after I told them I would be looking for another carrier if I didn't get some kind of resolution to the problem. I received the phone via UPS after just two days. Very happy with the 3155i.

Reception is so poor I don't get ringing, but the you have messages tone when I come into a strnger area. Calls are dropped, You can't hear the person you called nor they you intermitted. I will never deal with Sprint or Nextel ever again. I have had big problems with both regardless of the phone model. Verizen seems to be furnish the best reception in this area, I don't know about others, but historically AT&T has been poor in Gilbert from Elliot south between McQueen and Val Vista or the eastern city limits. My contract lasts until Nov, but attempts to stop service because of the inability to receive calls, carrys no weight with the provider. DO NOT BUY a Sprint phone if you live in these areas!

Stay away from Sprint if you live anywhere near Ray and Greenfield, down to Williams Field road, it's one big Dead Zone, and Sprint won't even change out my phone to help me.

There have been problems here for 3 years Better than before, but numerous dropped calls Nokia / Motorola... it don't matter... GSM sucks in this area... go figure it is as flat as a pancake..no mountains

I have been with T-Mobile for over 2 years now. I use to live in Tempe and I did not have that much of a problem but since moving to Gilbert, I have been through 3 phones (different brands) and I get: 1) dropped calls during almost every call 2) Messages each day such as: Network rejected or Call failed. 3) Messages that come to me, arrive later than when sent and are usually garbled. If there is even a slight wind or at night... forget about it. I have to wait to see if they leave a message and then drive to the Walmart parking lot up the road to make a call. First off, I have to tell you that my experience with the T-Mobile store at Gilbert and Baseline has been great. We have tried 3 different phones and the problems still exist. My daughter has T-Mobile and her reception, etc. is fine. My husband has Nextel and he never has a problem, so I am thinking of switching to them. Anyone have any issues similar to mine? Thanks!

I have had T-Mobile for a year or so now. I am truly frustrated with the quantity of dropped calls I get on a day to day basis from my home. I even get dropped calls in Central Phoenix as well. Don't get T-Mobile in this area because you will be extremely disappointed.

Phone continually goes into roaming while driving through south Chandler. Drops calls all the time. Stuck in a 2 year contract with horrible customer service and coverage. My wife has Cricket (you know the "cheap" service) and she always has good reception.

Poor reception -- 0 bars of reception in the house. The calls go through and I don't get dropped often in the house (although my calls are frequently dropped throughout the Valley), but reception is poor. A friend said if I get a tri-mode phone I'll get better reception from Verizon in this area.
