Local people all use Altel and have good reception. Generally there is no Verizon reception, though there appear to be occasional moving pockets of reception, depending on the weather conditions. Text messages are more likely to be sent and received. Do NOT go off hiking in the area or up on the Paria Plateau or Coyote Buttes and expect to have any cell service with Verizon in case of an emergency. Service in Page is good, but that's the nearest place where you can count on it.
