Never have more than 2 bars when inside house. Phone works fine making calls that charge your minutes. When using cell to cell or other free minutes, then no bars present and call is dropped. I watch the signal go from Sprint to Roam just walking from the kitchen into the den. This is insane, we (Maricopa) have the worst of everything here. Phone works just fine outside of the city. Sprint says they have a tower in Maricopa, yah right, which Maricopa? Maricopa CA? cause it aint doing squat in Maricopa AZ! Oh yeah, by the way, this website won't even take my zip code, it says it is not a valid zip. Really?

You would think that with 100,000 + people in Maricopa that Verizon would improve it reception. I purchased a Droid and it is about useless with the poor reception.

I have lived in Maricopa since 2004 and have never had any coverage problems. Never a call dropped or roaming. Have had a Sanyo M1, Treo 800w, and now the HTC EVO.

I don't use the device for calls, so I can't speculate on that. If I didn't have WIFI on the device for home / work, I wouldn't get any data use out of the phone. I can't get above 2 bars of signal anywhere I have been in Maricopa. When I am in my house I get between 0 and 1 bars of signal. I HAVE to use WIFI in my house, as well as at my parents house in Tortosa (End of Honneycutt road) or I wouldn't get any reception. Sprint definitely has better coverage in Maricopa (I've heard MPD uses Sprint cards in the squad cars), netting me full coverage with 3G almost anywhere in town... indoors or out.

This is a business provided phone, so no chance of changing phones or carrier. Have had the same terrible reception for 3+ years. Can make / receive calls intermittently throughout house. Usually drops calls. Almost always drop calls between Maricopa Mountian and the concrete plant when on 347. It's embarrasing to have my boss or customers call and I have to either ask them to call me back on the house phone, or I call them from the house phone using a calling card. We chose ATT for wife's phone for the free mobile-to-mobile minutes, but it's not worth it for the same dropped call / intermittent reception she gets. Her phone is an LG.

I have yet to find a single place in Maricopa where AT&T has any service at all. It is pretty sad, especially since the online coverage maps say it is "Best" What a lie.

My wife and I both have RAZR's and can only make and receive calls on the second floor of our house. I thought AT&T has "more bars in more places" We live right by the VW proving grounds and our reception is none existent.

I only get reliable reception in the front room of the house. I can be anywhere else in the house and without moving go from full bars to digital roam to no service. If I walk from my front room to the kitchen or through to my home office, there is a 78.3% chance that the call will drop. That's just not cool.

Alltel has the best service of anyone in the Maricopa area. No matter where I go, I have a full signal. Some of my friends with other service havce to go outside to get a signal and even then they only get 2-3 bars. I have had Cingular and T-Mobile previously and Alltel is by far the best service I have ever had!

Coverage is better than it was before when I was here in march, but it still is pretty pathetic. Got 3-5 bars in my house in Cantara village, like 2 bars at the pool. Poor signal outside and around Harrah's and its non existant indoors.

My secondary phone is Nextel, for walkie talkie only. Data is quite pathetic, as is text messaging, but for voice and direct connect, its rather strong. Variable signal at times, it goes from 2-5 bars off and on, but never drops connection and has pretty decent calls.

My wife and I had good service with AT&T in 85048 for 8 years, then SUFFERED through 2 years of Cingular (1-yr. in 85048, 1-yr. in 85239) before switching to T-Mobile in October, 2006. We now have 4 to 5 bars of reception everywhere and have never had a dropped call. My wifes phone is a Motorola Razr V3. Both phones work equally well. Our cell phones are the only phones we have, so it's important that they function well.

Reception in this area with Sprint has improved over the years. East side of Rancho El Dorado is fairly weak, but other than that, Maricopa seems to be covered pretty well. Make sure you pick a plan with roaming included and then set your phone for Automatic roam (it doesn't come this way). The calls are not great, but are pretty good. I've found that the model of phone that you select plays a big role. I've found that the Samsung A900 and LG Fusic do a great job. Whereas a relative with Qwest (which uses Sprint's service) and a Motorola V710 has a harder time and their calls are more staticky.
