Customer service not so hot at nearest phone center greenfield and Mckellips but better at superstition on southern reception not perfect but I live in a "basement home" means first floor slightly sunken below grade. I have 2 bars there but 4 bars at ground level or upstairs. Phone selection is not great prices, too high. They don't get payments that I have sent from inside post office 1 to 2 times a year. but I can get service most places I have been in the US. was told that Alltel shares version and Sprint towers get at least 5 dropped calls per month and get credit for 1 on automatic refund program text messaging can come in hours after the fact but generally reliable
In most of Las Sendas Alltel breaks up or cant access the network. Calls go straight to voicemail most of the time, Alltel needs to improve this area as Verizon offers much better service in the Las Sendas development in Northeast Mesa.
Both my husband and I have been experiencing repeated dropped calls within our house, backyard, and even in the street in front of our house. I personally cannot complete a 10 minute conversation without the call being dropped at least every minute. Within the last six months, and expecially the last two months, the problem has become ridiculous.
Reporting back after 3 months of service with Alltel after dropping Verizon. I have a decent 3 - 4 bar signal now at home with no dropped calls. A Samsung A645 was chosen for price (2 for $1) so can't compare to other models yet. I have equal or better signal quality in most Phoenix metro locations to what I had with Verizon and markedly better reception in some rural areas such as I-40 from Holbrook to NM and around Sierra Vista. Alltel Customer Service has been much more pleasant to deal with than Verizon's. The switch to Alltel has been a success so far for me.
I have been with AT&T then Cingular now AT&T again. Have had good service and very rare a dropped call. Motorola phones have always worked fine for me.
I was called by Cingular and told I will be cancelled if I don't use more than 50% of my calls on their tower. I cannot controll what towers my phone uses!? I constantly get dropped calls and missed calls. I have not been able to finish a single conversation without a dropped call. I hope they cancel me so I can go with another company.
