I have been with Verizon since 1998 and have always had good reception all over the country, average 4 bars 95% of time. I travel for work, have a company phone through Sprint and use my personal phone since my calls with the Sprint always get dropped.

Move here from SD with Verizon. Since being here the coverage stinks. Half the time my calls are dropped. Other times my phone never even rings. I am tired of standing on one legs and digging in my other leg pocket to pay for bad service.

I don't know what is going on with some people with some bad signals in my area. I been here for 41 / 2 yrs. and no problems what so ever.My bar shows 4 to 5 always, once in a blue moon it goes to 3, but like I said Great signal with my LG and that cell phone is 41 / 2 yrs. old ! I guess what I'm reading I better stay with Zerizon instead of changing to other service.

We have been in the area for 10 years. Phone reception for Sprint and AT&T were horrible numerous dropped calls and no service this still continues today with some of our neighbors. Verizon was the only one that had good to great service in our home. 2 weeks ago that all changed. My wife and I have both experienced numerous dropped calls and no service. I don't know what they changed or what happened but something needs to be done. Maybe as someone suggested they are getting too big.

It is appalling to me that in 2010 that I have to still use a home phone to talk to people because my cellphone cuts out constantly. I have to move around the house to find a location with reception and 9 times out of 10 I get cutoff.

I have excellent coverage with phone and internet. I've had Verizon for over 7 years and used all across the country with very good results.

I've used Verizon since 1998. In CA great. With my old SCH-700i got great reception at home and at work. Very poor reception and many many dropped calls. They've traded out smartphones, and still poor reception and dropped call. Verizon may have gotten too big. JV

Verizon works great here! They are in the process are bringing the Alltel network to us, so there may be a few problems, but will all get better soon! Oh yeah, everyone needs to update there phone so they will have access to Alltel 3G (EVDO) do *228 option 2.

In the past week or so the signal has become weak. It is hit or miss on being able to dial out from inside my house. I tested 3 different phones and they all have the same connection issues. The reception was great for many years, but something is up recently.

Although pricey, Verizon has given me much better reception than T-Mobile. At home I have anywhere from 1-4 bars but my calls are still always crystal clear. I sometimes have dropped calls but I'm more inclined to believe that they are caused by the AT&T customers on the other end of the line. At work (North scottsdale around 101 / raintree) I always have full signal strength even though I work in a large building with lots of walls. Overall I'm very impressed with Verizon's signal strength and call quality. I'm definitely not impressed with their prices but perhaps the lack of frustration is worth the extra money..

Reception is consistant and never drops below 3 bars. EVDO Broadband Wireless usually works well too.

I do like my phone andreception was the only thing that I was looking for when I selected a phone

In summer of 06 Verizon recetion went up and is satisfactory. All others in my area have problems if they have other than Verizon.

I can be sitting in the very same spot and have the signal go to nothing. Lots of dropped calls in my house and more out of my house lately.

I switched to Verizon a couple of years ago and have never regretted it. When I first moved near Guadalupe / Dobson (Mesa), I had Sprint. Sprint was decent at my previous location (Dobson / Southern) but was horrible my new location... so many dropped calls it wasn't funny. I then tried AT&T (before then changed to Cingular who now are changing back to AT&T... can't believe it's so hard to decide on a name). AT&T was slightly better than Sprint, but only barely. Since switching to Verizon, I may have only experienced 10 dropped calls in 2 years. Love it, love it, love it! My contract is up for renewable and, although I love my Verizon service, I'm looking at other carriers. A little apprehensive about changing carriers since my service with Verizon is wonderful. (Only considering changing due to phone selection.)

Signal Butte and Elliot I have no reception, Nor do any of my friends on other carriers,T-mobile, Cingular and Sprint. There is a Tower just north of the intersection It is about 6 months old, Can anyone tell me who owns that tower at Signal Butte and Elliot?

Constantly have dropped calls for the last 2 years. Never more than 2 bars and quality is very poor. Verizon customer service has been non-responsive. Nokia has worked better than two previous LG phones but still not acceptable. Just switched to Alltel and will report back.

Phone drops call at this location. The reception is awful

As soon as I turn off Elliot, the signal drops from 3-4 bars to 0-1 bar. Hardly any reception at my home.

Verizon needs to strengthen their coverage at Stapley and Brown - they're typically 3 or more bars elsewhere in the valley

Terrible reception. My calls in this area are constantly dropped and it takes forever to get reception!

All calls dropped from this location for past 4+ years. Verizon will not let me out of my contract without paying $175 per phone x2 phones, even though they can not provide any cellular service without dropped calls in this area.

Verizon is real spotty out in the Boulder Mountain area in NE Mesa,but so is everyone else except T-Mobile oddly enough. Just saw cell antennas being fitted on a flag pole about a mile away so hopefully service improves soon.

Awful reception! I can't believe that the positive comments about Verizon in Mesa are genuine!

Dropped calls every few minutes. Sometimes cannot place calls. Also, missed calls can take hours to alert. Verizon confirmed in 2004 with an onsite test and cited the eastern hills as the source of the problem. They said no plans to improve for 2 years. I think that will not change until the loop 202 is finished in this area.

One to no bars at San Montego Apartments. Loose calls very often. even when I take the call outsided.

Terrible reception out here. I heard Verizon has great reception here in az so I got a phone. I think they were only referring to Phoenix, cause mine drops calls as good as making them, as with the phones of all my family here in east Mesa!

Constant dropped calls and very poor reception from the home. Reception goes in and out of service or from Analog to Digital as it just sits in one position without being disturbed or used and in doing so the battery goes dead.

Words can't express the quality of their service... Perfect!
