Dropped calls every few minutes. Sometimes cannot place calls. Also, missed calls can take hours to alert. Verizon confirmed in 2004 with an onsite test and cited the eastern hills as the source of the problem. They said no plans to improve for 2 years. I think that will not change until the loop 202 is finished in this area.

I get "no service" or "Emergency Only" all the time now. I loved ATT TDMA service... GSM SUCKS. I got dropped calls all the time around AZ Mills Mall, dropped calls on Southern and Mill. Reception in my house is 0. no service. I have to stand outside to get 1-2 bars... and even then it cuts in and out.

I understand what some of the other respondents have said in regards to cell service in east Mesa, recently T mobile and Sprint put up a cell tower at the South East corner of the above listed cross roads (looks like a great big palm tree), now I have no dropped calls, and the service is great. But before that, I would average about 25-55% dropped calls. I've noticed that T mobile has installed alot of new towers along McKellips too. Sprint is good about giving credits for dropped calls, but you need to call *2 then say dropped calls for the 50 cent per dropped call alowance (up to $10.00 per phone, per month)

With T-Mobile it really depends onthe phone you are useing.. Fro example with a moterola or erickson phone you will find bad reception but with a Samsung phone you should expireiance the best coverage available. Better than all other carriers..

Terrible reception out here. I heard Verizon has great reception here in az so I got a phone. I think they were only referring to Phoenix, cause mine drops calls as good as making them, as with the phones of all my family here in east Mesa!

Constant dropped calls and very poor reception from the home. Reception goes in and out of service or from Analog to Digital as it just sits in one position without being disturbed or used and in doing so the battery goes dead.

I average 1 dropped call out of every 2 when I use my phone at home. If it doesn't drop, reception is so bad that I am forced to use a different phone. So much for my unlimited nights and weekends starting at 7pm. It does not good when I use it at home.

In my house, I have to find the good spot and stay still to avoid drop-calls. Any movement, including rotation of your body will cause drop-calls quite often.

If you live in the new Mountain Heights development don't even consider Sprint PCS if you wish to use the phone from home.

What a bunch of crybabies. I live in east Mesa, and drive all over the valley on my job, the only poor reception is behind the mountain in Paradise Valley, north of McDonald and Tatum. Everywhere else is good reception all day long. T-Mobile and Nokia work all the time for me. So if you are using a Motorola phone, it's your own fault.

I didn't get coverage at work in Scottsdale, and now since I recently moved, I don't have service at home either. I also get a lot of dropped calls driving down the 101 and US 60.
Don't sign up for T-Mobile in the Pheonix area!!!

GSM network. Has worked ok but dead spots in down town phoenix noticed on 44th and Thomas.
Other then that rest of Maricopa county has been ok. Even out past end of US 60 in Superstion.
Phoenix Airport tested ok along with San Fransico.
the Good news Santa monica beach in Cali. was clear.
Since usage from July of 2002 I have never gone into roaming mode. Though I would admit with all cell phones they have there hit and misses.
