on southern reception is fine, but in the neighborhoods south of it (near walmart and superstition springs area) I get no reception. i've been with Cingular since I liked at&t, but am distgusted with them now. there are plenty of acceptable coverage areas down here for them, but my new house doesn't fall under one of them. can't wait til I can change carriers.
Very Bad or No reception in my home and rarely when I step out on my balcony. Have had this service for 2+ years and haven't been pleased with it from day 1. I'm hesitant to switch providers due to the fact I may be jumping out of a flame and into a fire. Hard to determine which provider is going to be the best for my area.
All calls dropped from this location for past 4+ years. Verizon will not let me out of my contract without paying $175 per phone x2 phones, even though they can not provide any cellular service without dropped calls in this area.
Customer Servie is NON-Existant. They don't care. I have called about 10 times to complain about loss of signal, dropped calls, no service, etc... Thay have no record of my complaints. Unlimited minutes is a scam!
I can't tell you how bad Cingular is. I had to call 8 times before they would discuss switching phones. We had no service either at our home. Then they tried to charge me for someone elses phones. They would not try to find out how the charge had happened they just shut off my phone service. Talk about a company where the right hand doesn't know what the left had is doing Cingular is the one. I'll bet my phone log on their end is 5 pages at least and it is still not fixed. I have been on the phone with them a total of 4 hours and... They said they would wave the charges for the phones I never ordered and what did they do they moved the bill to current charges so I have to do the same thing next month. I have to put up with this until this coming Christmas and then I'm out of the Cingular black hole. I don't know how they stay in business. We were brought over from AT&T that is how we ended up with them. If you are thinking of Cingular I would suggest you run as fast as you can the other way!
I get four bars 80% to 90% of the time. However I nearly always get a "fast busy signal" when making outging calls from my "home office" location. This is primarily a residential area in Mesa, AZ, but I have a major problem with either the phone or most likely, the Cingular service. When I try to call out from my "home" office using the phone, I hear a series of fast "beeps" (fast busy or systems busy) then I am disconnected before the phone call goes through. This happens about 95% of the time. In checking the signal indicator on the phone, I almost always have three bars or more 85% of the time, with some dips to two bars (almost never one bar). I have had this problem since the purchase of the phone, early last week. Calls made from other locations work without any problem. I have only had a fast busy once in other locations. When I use GPRS / EDGE for internet connections I get reasonably fast transfers of email and web access, independent of the number of signal bars. This is true even when I can not make voice calls. Internet performance is great, but voice connections are nearly impossible. I am located 3 / 4 mile from the nearest Cingular tower, and 1 / 2 mile from an AT&T (Cingular) tower. Several calls to Ceingular support and a vist to the Cingualr store have not resulted in any solution.
