Since Virgin Mobile rides on Sprint network as prepaid virtual carrier, I did not expect very good service, but has been reliable in Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix.
I get maybe two bars at home. Whenever my treo connects for data service (checking e-mail once an hour for example), I completely lose the call I'm on and my phone locks up for 30-40 seconds until the signal comes back.
I use the phone daily between Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix and have only had two or three dropped calls in 18 months. Works well in Prescott also. Absolutely no complaints.
Very Bad or No reception in my home and rarely when I step out on my balcony. Have had this service for 2+ years and haven't been pleased with it from day 1. I'm hesitant to switch providers due to the fact I may be jumping out of a flame and into a fire. Hard to determine which provider is going to be the best for my area.
Dropped calls, so many I can't count them, and forget trying to drive to work (through downtown Mesa) because there are so many dead spots. My advice-get a diffrent carrier
With T-Mobile it really depends onthe phone you are useing.. Fro example with a moterola or erickson phone you will find bad reception but with a Samsung phone you should expireiance the best coverage available. Better than all other carriers..
I average 1 dropped call out of every 2 when I use my phone at home. If it doesn't drop, reception is so bad that I am forced to use a different phone. So much for my unlimited nights and weekends starting at 7pm. It does not good when I use it at home.
