Wow Sprint made me switch to the CDMA Network here saying Nextel was shuting down they even gave me an admiral for free but sprints problems have gotten worse. There was a wreck on the interstate I tried to call out to report it but even though I had a full signal the call would not got through. I did get a tech rep that admitted to me that Sprint has a traffic issue. Whats does this have to do with me? I though when you agree to a contract that I should at least be able to make a phone call especially when I am under the tower. Horrible.

I have called Sprint over and over and all they say is they are continuing "improvments in Nogales" The Techs at Sprint told me where all 2 towers are at here in Nogales, I drove up to the one by Nogales High School on Mariposa Hills Drive. There is towers but no cell antennas on them and the land owner said Sprint pulled out 2 years ago which means Sprint lied to me. Sprint is eliminating towers as part of thier "Network Vision" this is BS. Sprint out of money. I have international roaming also and Sprint cant get that right. Everytime I go to Mexico it wont roam on GSM and sometimes not even on CDMA. I have tried Iphone, BB Bold, a simple phone you name it. Sprint does not work inside unless your downtown around Crawford Hill. Verizon has 12 towers in 85621 and Im finally switching to them. I wrote this trying to save people headaches.

I too am fed up with Sprint in Nogales. It is not like the old days. On the Nextel side you have to call out 3 times just to connect properly. Sprint is obviously causing this trying to get people to switch from Nextel to Sprint. On Sprint Cdma side like comments above my service has several dead spots now in Nogales and Rio Rico, whats funny Sprint Service is horrible inside of Sprint store on mariposa when they have thier airwave off. No service in hardly any store here. Sprint has stated they are performing network upgrades, they have said this for 2 years now. I have had 2 phones on Nextel and Wifes on the Sprint side for 12 years. Sprint sayes they are shutting down Nextel now. Good I will not go to Sprint side I will go to Verizon instead I think they have 20 towers here compared to Sprints 2.

In Nogales and Rio Rico, Sprint has certainly went down hill here. The service is notably worse in most of Nogales. No longer is it a reliable source of communications. I pay $145 a month only to get service that goes in and out even under one of their towers. They have replaced my black berry 4 times saying its the phone. I used my position in the legal field to dig deeper. I found out Sprint has pulled equipment from 3 locally owned sites and sold their Nextel assets to TowerCorp in Irvin, Ca. Sprint only has one tower in 85621 zip now located on Crawford hill. This is leased from tower corp. The closest tower to this one is in 85648 zip the Rio Rico location is only 1xrtt the low end of 3g. Adding to sprints troubles and overloading is Virgin Mobile, Boost CDMA, trac, net 10 and a couple of other prepaid are all sharing the same equipment. What really got to me is when I found out Sprint contract customers are not prioritize on data side here. I presented and faxed my findings to sprints legal department and they let me out of my contract of 8 phones. The Nogales Sprint store has lied several times to me over the years, con me into new phones, convinced me to get a Sprint airwave, talked me into a Sprint home line etc. I have moved to a GSM carrier and no longer have any issues.

AT home I can sit in the same spot and go from 5 bars to none in seconds. Then I get put in roam. I'm a truck driver and have driven in all 48 contiguous states and have had problems with sprints reception in all of them. Including large cities such as Atlanta, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix,Dallas etc,etc I;m currently looking for a new service provider.
