For the most part reception is pretty good throughout the Phoenix area, so far as I have experienced. What really ticks me off about Sprint is their poor customer service. I have had numerous issues with billing and their poor business practices. I am shopping for new service... .Alltel, Cingular, Verison... .here I come.

Average to below average reception indoors. Sometimes requires user to move to a different room for better reception.

Before the merger, AT&T wasn't too bad, the only place I had trouble was at my house (No real problem there). But since the Cingular merger I get dropped constantly and have trouble with even getting reliable service anywhere.

For over a year now, 1 - 0 Bars. In order to make a call, I either drive 10 miles south or go to higher grounds. Contacted T-Mobile Customer Service and they told me I should have 3 bars in the area. The service rep said they would said a tech out to see about a possible coverage expansion. Better then nothing and better then what AT&T said, which was they would note the outage and if more customers called they would do something about it.

Good reception [4-5 bars] on T-Mobile with V188 [inside house as well, 91st ave / Cactus]. Went down I10 all the way to Houston TX [from Peoria AZ] and back. Only about 30 miles of no reception [around New Mexico / Arizona border]. Had several hundred miles of roaming in Texas with 1 to 2 bars [network 310-120, static / dropping on some calls but usable]. It also connected to Cingular [and a few other networks along the way] with good results.

I've been using the Nokia 4586 phone with Verizon service for a year. I travel as far south as Gila Bend and all the way up to Las Vegas. Everywhere that Verizona says I have coverage, I do. The phone has never dropped a call. While I don't like the roaming charge from Aguilla Az. the rest of my calls are fine. Calling to Phoenix from Las Vegas was like calling across the street. I've got to hand it to Verizon. "Can you hear me now?" Yes, I can...

I live in N. Peoria. Been with Alltel for years with perfect reception at my house. Now that Verizon has taken over, my home office has become a dead zone. I can never forget to plug my phone in at night or it will be dead by morning from trying to connect to the network all night. I never had that problem until Verizon took over. I can no longer conduct business at my own home office desk as no text or calls will come through and any call I try to make will either not connect or the call will be dropped. I have notified Verizon customer service of this issue and was told by an engineer that via VM the "I live in a marginal coverage area". Makes me mad because I wasn't in a "marginal coverage area" until Verizon showed up.

Reception is OK until we go inside our house. Can only answer calls in the house and they ALWAYS drop within a few seconds. Same issues for our neighbors as well. Told Verizon about it, just like our neighbors did, and same old story: we'll have a tech check out the towers. They also offered to update our phones / program them on their computer (takes about 25 minutes), but it made zero difference. According to the neighbors here it has ALWAYS been this way... and the community has been here for at least 4 years.

Cannot use my cell in my house or neighborhood. Verizon is no help after many complaints. This area needs a tower. I don't know of any carrier with good coverage in this area. I would estimate over 5,000 newer homes in this area with poor coverage. And yes, 85383 is a valid zip code!
