I am a very experienced in mobile telephony technology and used to test mobile phones (on all major carriers) as well as variious networks for prominent online websites. In the past year, I have moved to the area from the midwest in the past year. While overall coverage in Phoenix is not as good in some other major metropolitan areas, I have found that calls and tests in the greater metropolitan area of Phoenix to be very good with AT&T. Data services on LTE work well when outdoors, but due LTE's frequency, data services can be mixed in indoors. HSPA(+) services work have better building penetration and work much better overall in the area. Using a variety of test methods, I have found AT&Ts signal overall to be quite good, with Verizon's coming in a close second and T-Mobiles to be quite good as well. My test set indicates rather poor performance for Sprint in certain areas and with poor data connectivity throughout the valley. Was this review helpful to you?
No data connection! Dropped calls! Sprint sent me an airave to help with my reception issues and still get no data! Phone keeps switching between 1x, 3G and extended! They told me that the tower by my house would be updated and up and running on 8 / 10 / 13, guess what? Never happened. Siri doesn't work anywhere . I keep getting, Siri not available, connect to internet! C'mon Sprint! Was this review helpful to you?
Can not make or take a call when in my home or standing outside. Sprint is not a good choice for this area. Was this review helpful to you?
I had switched to T Mobile from Verizon not really knowing how well the reception would be. Once I heard that 4G LTE was now available in the Phoenix area through T Mobile I decided to give it a try. Switching carriers was the best decision I made this year, my bill is half the price, and my reception with T Mobile was much better than it was with Verizon. The bars for my 4G LTE signal is one bar away from being full, and if I happen to be in an area where the signal might not be as strong then HSPA+ would kick in.Was this review helpful to you?
Actually I am with Virgin Mobile as my daughter sent it to me from CA. I am on my third phone, no reception web either here or in Scottsdale where I just left at Via Ventura and Hayden. They use Sprint network and there is no coverage. My son is well versed on this and laughs at me that I am so techno stupid. Was this review helpful to you?

T-Mobile signal is very weak to non-existent at times within the office building at 48 St. and Francisco Dr. Have spoken to other co-workers, they get good signal strength on ATT or Verizon. T-Mobile, you better fix the signal strength or we switch to another carrier! Was this review helpful to you?
Rarely 3G with TMobile. No service inside office building or grocery store. No service at all in many parts of the state while Verizon is 4G level. Have to use wi-fi inside our house for internet use.Was this review helpful to you?
Always had rock solid 4g coverage. Sometimes DL speed get up to 25mbps. Avg around 6-12 in my area of cave creek and bell. Never had a dropped call. Was this review helpful to you?
