No reception with Sprint. Automatically switches to ROAMING on Alltel. The bad part is you can not check voicemail while roaming. Sprint had to give me free roaming due to being a customer for 10 years and to keep me from switching to Verizon up here. 3 miles down the road heading to Payson I pick up Sprint again.

In the center of Strawberry I get great reception. From my house however, the reception is patchy. The house may be in a dip or something, I don't know. When I hike, as long as I am on the rim I will get reception. Naturally, the better the phone, the better the reception.

Work in Payson, Az, live in Pine. Get very good reception in Payson and in Pine. Driving between the 2 points, no service because of mountains, canyons. Take my phone hiking all the time in Pine and get good reception (3-4 bars). Have had Tracfone for 2 years which operates here on Verizon. Have driven to Prescott, Flagstaff, Scottsdale, Tucson, Nogales, Yuma and get reception in all places. My phone is a CDMA. Hear that they are phasing out TDMA and Analog by 2008. Can't complain because I don't talk much, but when I need to place a call I can 98% of the time unless I am down in a canyon out in the boonies.
