I have always had connection from Prescott Valley to Pheonix and Prescott Valley to Payson except for the Rim Country and Mingus Mountain. Very happy with Alltel!

I am enjoying t-mobile, no problems on I-10... This might vary phone to phone. The only thing I dislike is that when I don't have signal in az Alltel does.

Basic cell coverage is good in PV (though not at my house, for some reason). Prescott coverage is also good. However, if you go into outlying areas such as Mountain Club, Williamson Valley, misc areas in Dewey, Chino, etc., coverage can get very sketchy. My main complaint is the lack of 3G data coverage. Flagstaff has 3G, why we don't is a mystery. I suppose we might get it when AT&T and TMobile complete their merger.

Good reception on Antelope Meadows Rd. North of 89A. 5 bars out of 7 on average. Reception in Flagstaff, excellent. Phoenix, great. Haven't tried yet on trip to Payson.

Use a prepaid Tracfone. Was on Verizon when I lived in Pine, AZ. Think it still is Verizon here in Prescott Valley. Get at least 3-4 bars in most areas. There are hills in Prescott that can block signal, but no problem when inside Prescott Gateway mall. Phone is 2 years old with antenna that just broke off a week ago. Still get good reception without it. Can't complain since it works whenever I need it to.

I usually get 2-3 bars upstairs in my house with Sprint and the text will often just be deleted from my phone and not sent if i'm outside in prescott valley. Up at the mall and target too, forget about reception. My texts always take multiple tries to send. I wish Verizon would buy out Sprint or something. It seems all my friends with Verizon always have better service than me. Sprint has crappy phones (except the pre and a few HTC's) as well, in my opinion.

Piss poor service Just have the edge, and 1 to 2 bars, they need a tower in Prescott Valley, as their service here is a joke!

I work closer to Prescott and my phone works fine there, but at home, I get next to no reception. I wish there was a tower on this side of town so I wouldn't have to change carriers.
