I get no reception at home and experience dropped calls everwhere I go. AT&T is almost non-existent in Scottsdale. What is UP with this place? From what I've read wireless serive is pathetic in all of AZ. It's as if we live in the "backwoods."
10 / 10 / 9... Have had Iphone 3G for over a year now. The dang phone never works inside house. What a disappointment to say the least. At@T said from the onset, "Oh, you are living in a pocket area." So! What false advertising on both parts... Iphone / AT@T. Was on a trip to Calif last month and phone worked very well although at times... intermittingly, and much better there than here at home. Never did work at all while driving home through the desert.
I just moved to this area of Scottsdale and while my phone always says that I have 3-5 bars, I am constantly dropping calls. Once again... like most people... I love the phone, but AT&T's service is awful. I also have another AT&T phone that I use for work (HTC Tilt) which has actually even worse with dropped calls with supposed full signal. I actually travel around town for work every day and it's more or less the same across town. I would hope that there are good niches, but I sure haven't found them.
I have four phones with AT&T none of them get service in this area / Their map says good coverage and it is a 3 g network. my kids have to go up on the roof to get 1-2 bars so they can make calls from home.
Verizon coverage in North Scottsdale is pathetic. They should be paying me. I get better coverage in more remote areas in other parts of the country. This is 2009 and I can't believe it's so bad. I've used 7 different phones and the coverage in this part of town is a disgrace.
