I have been using Cingular (old AT&T) service in the Phoenix metro area for 3 months now. I could not be happier! I have great service at my house at Tatum and Shea from the tower in the office complex across from the Gas station and Albertson's center. There will of course be areas where one provider works better than another, but for the places I need it the most, Cingular is great!

Weak reception, and often drops calls. Very frustrating.

T-Mobile's coverage is horrible... whether you are... roaming the dirt roads of north western phx or the opulent neighborhoods of North Scottsdale / Paradise Valley, the coverage plainly sucks... may be at the T-Mobile booth where they hawk service plans in malls will you find decent reception... get Verizon / Cingular... i'd say... (I mean if you bars dip from a measly three bars to a one or zero when you pass under a cactus... thats just crappy infrastructure... to begin with.)

Sprint says phone is the problem but other friends that have Sprint have same problem. Phoenix just seems to be a bad market for cell providers.

Having a cel phone here and needing to drive 15 miles to get tower reception from Carefree or Paradise Valley area for reception does not warrant having the cel phone. C. and E. Stasik 28006 N. 158 Street, 85262

Had this phone in Seattle for 3 weeks prior to coming down to Scottsdale. In Seattle did not drop one call in the entire 3 weeks there. Love this phone but ATT GSM service all over NE Scottsdale is horrible, cannot get any service at all at home.

Dropped calls most of the time. Signal is shotty up in Scottsdale Mountain area.

This area has horrible service, but I have not seen any other service provider with any better. I think it is a problem with Scottsdales laws with putting up towers. People don't want unsightly towers

I have great service at my house in Scottsdale, never dropped a call. Also have a house in Show Low and get pretty good service there as well. However, the sales people at the stores (including the managers) are terrible. They are rude and in a hurry to tell you what you want to hear to get you out of their hair. Also, Whats up with the lame phones? I feel like Verizon gets all the leftovers from the companies with cool phones.

Terrible voice reception, if at all or between dropped calls. Data (such as missed calls) come thru fine. T-mobile marks the area as having "Fair" reception - term obviously refers to the commissions received by the sales staff, not the service.
