Been with Alltel / CellularOne for 10 years in phoenix / scotts. CellularOne was better. Phone works great everywhere except my house which is odd because it has always worked ok even with my old Motorola T720. Now no matter what phone, it drops calls all the time. Signal just fades. I can hear them but they can't hear me and then it drops altogether. Frustrating since this never used to happen until a few months ago. Now I may be forced to go to Crapular or Tease-mobile GSM network to experiment, but am weary since no one ever has anything good to say about them or their customer dis-service. No idea what to do now. I travel a lot and Phoenix has some of the worst cell phone reception and service in the country.

Work at American Express. Sprint does not work inside the building at all. Natta, zip, zero. I spent 3 days working with Sprint, calling them, taking my phone to their store. Each time they told me they would "Boost the power". No such thing. Or they would install software updates. Nothing worked. I am within my 14 day trial period. I am going to T-Mobile or Cingular or ANYONE else !

From Hayden to Scottsdale Rd.on Princess Dr.and in the Vicinity of Crown Court Apartments there is No Signal on any of 5 phone types even using an external antenna signal is spotty at best. Phones used Motorola V600 with an actual Motorola External Antenna, Nokia 6010, Samsung X105, Samsung 475, Samsung X495. T-Mobile Coverage is horrible. The Cingular site comes through a lot better

Terrible service in my home at Santa Fe / Mccormick Ranch. Other wise I have no problems.

I get the same poor reception using three different phones (Moto Razr V3, Blackberry 7100g, Samsung x370). Grayhawk: Can make and receive calls from some places but people usually say that I am cutting out. DC Ranch (Copper Ridge Schools): incoming calls go to voicemail - vmail indication does eventually make it to the phone. Can sometimes make calls but often time phone starts searching for signal. Also I can't stay on a call when driving on 101 N / S between 202 and Pima / Princess Dr. Calls drop at least twice every time.

I cannot get service in my home at all. I have to go outside and even then I sometimes cannot get service or my calls are dropped. I would not recommend their service to anyone. I can't wait for my contract to be up.

I haven't had one clear or strong phone call in the three days I've had the phone. My Samsung phone by Sprint got much better reception.

Overall good, clear connection inside the house and out. I'm very happy with it.

Pretty good reception. Occasionally a call or two will be dropped but nothing drastic. Would definately recommend Verizon Wireless to all b.c it has the best coverage nationwide out of all the major carriers. Never have I been in an area where I was not able to get some reception.

AT&T GSM sucks! I switched to AT&T from Sprint because 1>SPRINT reception was poor and 2> I was traveling internationally and AT&T phones work out-of-the-box in foreign countries. The second happened to be true. The first, however, has turned out to be a nightmare! Horrible reception! Dropped calls almost everywhere in the valley! I have heard from someone who had a Tracfone how well it works ALMOST EVERYWHERE in the valley. Guess who powers Tracfone network? ALLTEL! I am now thinking of switching to Alltel even if it means I have to buy 3 phones (for the family) and pay AT&T a couple of hundred bucks to cancel the contract!

Don't get T-Mobile service - Drops call consistently along 101. Hardly can make calls from home. Receiving them is tough. How can service be that terrible? They must work hard at it.

We have had AT&T / Cingular GSM for 2 plus years. I have supported AT&T faithfully for 45 plus years. Due to the terrible reception of our AT&T cell phones, my wife gave me an edict -- either we change carriers or I'm filing for divorce. Well, it wasn't quite that bad. But, I agreed. Today we switched to Alltel. I drove from the Pavillions (101 and Indian Bend) to our home (Desert Mountain development... 5 miles NE of Carefree) and HAD 4-5 BARS ALL THE WAY.

Great reception in Philly but in Scottsdale during the summer. Can't make calls out and I occasionally catch signal on an incoming call and get barely enough time to say "Will call you back on a land line." Would not recommend if you live in 85259.

Drops calls all the time never had a problem with Verizon until this year. Great prior two years. What happened- they are screwing up

I have been using Cingular (old AT&T) service in the Phoenix metro area for 3 months now. I could not be happier! I have great service at my house at Tatum and Shea from the tower in the office complex across from the Gas station and Albertson's center. There will of course be areas where one provider works better than another, but for the places I need it the most, Cingular is great!

Weak reception, and often drops calls. Very frustrating.

T-Mobile's coverage is horrible... whether you are... roaming the dirt roads of north western phx or the opulent neighborhoods of North Scottsdale / Paradise Valley, the coverage plainly sucks... may be at the T-Mobile booth where they hawk service plans in malls will you find decent reception... get Verizon / Cingular... i'd say... (I mean if you bars dip from a measly three bars to a one or zero when you pass under a cactus... thats just crappy infrastructure... to begin with.)

Sprint says phone is the problem but other friends that have Sprint have same problem. Phoenix just seems to be a bad market for cell providers.
