I get average to good signal but the 3G speeds sucks. I mostly get <1Mb / s, average <500kb / s. I wish Sprint will increase their trunk lines (T1s or Fiber) to accommodate all the Android phones that they have released in the last 6 months.

Sprint claims there should be reception in this area of at least two bars. Gave me a replacement phone. It is not the phone, it is Sprint's lack in coverage.

ASU and Apartment Complex, Tempe, AZ 85281 |
Sun Feb 01, 2009 |
if I even think about placing a call underground or in the library, my phone will not even operate. the only people I know that get service in the underground classrooms are people with Verizon wireless. I also lived in an apartment complex near papago park in tempe, az and had to pretty much leave my apartment and walk a few yards in order to get 2 bars. Sprint sucks reception sucks but the phones are awesome.

Life Sciences Complex, ASU CAMPUS, Tempe, AZ 85287 |
Tue Jul 18, 2006 |
I get 0 or 1 bar. The entire central campus is almost unuseable for Sprint customers. This also held true with my previous phone (a Samsung), and for a friend's Sprint phone (type unknown). I am always on roaming, even while outdoors, when I'm anywhere near Life Sciences E or the Central Plant, and even then sometimes I cannot complete a call without a walk of 50-80 yards from my building. I am ready to drop Sprint.

S Dorsey Ln. Btw. Baseline / I-60, Tempe, AZ 85282 |
Tue Jul 04, 2006 |
I live in Tempe on S Dorsey just off of Baseline by Arredondo Elementary and the park. I can't even use my cell phone at home because it drops every single call and I'd say maybe 20% of the time it's "searching for signal". I can't receive calls many times either and when I do, I can't hear the person and / or it drops. We have no landline here and I can't even call Sprint for help because when I have, I wait on hold, then the call drops. I am really sick of the service and there's no point in having the phone when I can't even use it at home. This is unacceptable for my location in the middle of the city like this. Very unhappy. Stupid 2 year contract...

Driving either north or south on Hardy between Gaudalupe and Baseline, service is sporatic. Often times calls are dropped. Called Sprint about it and they said there is no other reported trouble. Myself, girlfriend, and two roommates all have same problems.

McKellips Rd. / 68th St., Tempe, AZ 85281 |
Sat Dec 11, 2004 |
I was told by Sprint PCS that I live in a dead zone because of papago butte, which is nearby. After a year or two of Sprint trying things like "RF Optimization" they have offered to let me out of my contract (got this new phone over a year ago to try and see if it made things better, signed a new contract to get it). Reception is worst between 68th St. and Scottsdale Rd. - gets decent once you cross east of Scottsdale Rd. and McKellips Rd.
