I have had Sprint as my carrier for years without any reception issues until now. I bought an iPhone 4 S and in my houseI have dropped calls, 1 to 2 bars. My phone has been tested and it is not the phone it is the carrier. Frustrating.

High frustration... low reception. Sprint service is pathetic in both voice and data. I lose reception while sitting in my living room. Call quality is choppy. Data transfer is lethargic. It takes an average of 70 minutes to send a picture message with 4 lines of text. The CompuServe service on a dial up connection I had 12 years ago is lightning fast compared to Sprint's non existent 3G / 4G service. Customer service is disgusting. Don't even think of going to the Sprint store on Broadway and Craycroft. You'll get nothing but overpaid idiots to aggravate you even more. Huge disappointment. Sprint... the Excuses Network!

I have nearly no reception at home. I drop about 80% of calls even with finicky Airwave hooked up. Two other Android phone models have the same reception at my home. Reception near UMC is iffy (average / below average). Thing is that I have perfect reception in the boonies near Prescott, AZ so I know it is not the phone's fault. I don't understand how Sprint can have such poor reception in a large city. I had better reception with Verizon in Tucson in 1998.

Been with Sprint 14 yrs last 1 1 / 2 have been the worst. Worst service ever cant even make calls at Sprint store. They sent me Airave did not help at all! No exageration out off 99 droped calls I would say 98 our on my end. Cant get customer service to realize problem. I personally think if other Sprint customers were experinceing the same service I have had to endure that Sprint would have been gone from Tucson. For new customers stay as far away from Sprint as as you can to avoid possible issues that Sprint cant seem to FIX.

Have had Sprint for approx. 11 years and overall, have had really good reception throughout Tucson and out of state as long I'm in a big city or intertate. I don't get any reception on Mt. Lemmon or farther outside of town on small roads. I have friends with Verizon who do get reception in Summerhaven and around the Mtn. Also dont get any reception on Snowbowl where T-Mobile and Verizon phones do. I have been pretty satisfied with Sprint even with this old phone and customer service has been fine to deal with over the phone. The Sprint store itself is very unhelpful but have had good luck with Sprint kiosks inside Park Place. If you have any problems with billing / phone, you are much better off calling into Sprint or trying an affiliate location. Sprint Corp store only wants to sell as they lose money spending time helping existing customers if a new customer walks out. I use to work for Sprint. Thinking about changing to Verizon as they have nice phones and seem to have a better coverage area but plan pricing is $60 more then what I have with Sprint family plan. Pretty hard to leave Sprint because I haven't had many major issues aside from a few coverage gaps. Clear as a whistle inside town though.

Performance decreased over past two months. Heard it may be due to loss of towers in / near Tucson. Two bars at best in home. Flips to roaming without reason. Even when talking to technical support, they requested another number to use to talk because of poor reception, missed words, dropped calls. Hate Sprint customer service.

I have to go outside our near a window to use my cell at work. I get No Signal to 2 bars depending on if I am near a window or outdoors. I live at Broadway and Pantano and get 5 bars inside my home. From reviews and talking with friends, it appears Verizon offers the best coverage in the Tucson area in general.

I live in an apartment complex and depending on the day, I am / am not able to receive service to my phone. On bad days, I have to leave my apt, walk around the complex until I am able to receive a decent signal. I also run into many dead zones around the Tucson metro area. I'm not talking about the middle of nowhere locations, I'm talking about downtown / middle of Tucson. My contract is finally up next month... looking for a new carrier! :)

Can't get reception in the house and usually reception is spotty even walking down the block away from home. Usually have to drive a couple of blocks away from Richey Blvd.to get consistent service. Most of the time when home, I have to set my phone to roam just to use the phone. Switching to another carrier as soon as my contract runs out because Sprint has too many dead zones in the middle of the city.

Service is not bad everywhere but at home it does not exsist. CS has improved and they even sent me a new repeater device that is suppose to amp the signal. It only works if you are sitting directly in front of the repeater and then you will only get 2 bars. I hear Verizon works well in this area, may have to switch.

I used to get excellent reception with Sprint at home and in the neighborhood. The past 4 months service has really changed. Now my calls break up and drop constantly in the house. Many times, the phone doesn't even ring, it just goes into voice mail. Service is also terrible in the neighborhood. A friend mentioned my problems started about the time they started working on I-10. Anyone else having a problem on the west side (Grant / Silverbell) that started about then?

Sprint has horrible reception. Never more than a bar or two in Tucson. Dropped calls one out of about every three calls. Most of the time I will not even get a call it will go directly into my voice mail (which will not alert me for sometimes an hour). Not recommended in this area. Also had the same issues if not worse in Southern California when traveling with the Sprint phone. They also charge for minutes they should not be and its hard to catch it unless you add your bill by hand.

Sprint was quite satifactory (not great) when I lived / worked in the N.E. United States. But, now having moved here to Tucson, I find I am frequently cut off. I also experience a high level of call latency (delay between talkers). I'll probably switch soon, but I do have to concede that Sprint does an OK job with the PCS data side of things. In otherwords, I use my phone as a modem and it works quite well for the price. Lastly, signal strength on my phone seems to not be much of a indication as to how well my call will sound.

Dropped calls at home residence; must go into backyard to ensure no dropped calls. All family members (4) experience dead zones along First Ave south of Orange Grove to River Rd, Campbell south of Skyline to River Rd, Skyline east of Orange Grove intersection to Swan. We formerly had Verizon, which was better in terms of reception (but billing issues). My suggestion: if you live in area or frequent the area, look too another provider. We most definitely will once our 2-year subscription ends.
