bad indoors reception all over tucson

Reception is good inside house (Rita Ranch), much better that SPRINT. I do drop calls when driving up Houghton near Irvington all the way to Golf Links.

Cingular is really great, even in Tucson. Sprint, on the other hand, really sucks both with their cell phone lack of service and their really crappy broadband internet service, if you can call it service. Most doesn't work. Of course cable is just as bad.

With a quality handset it is a better day for TMobile in Tucson. Using Motorola V3 RAZR the reception quality of TMobile service has increased 200 to 300%. Where there were many dropouts in much of the Tucson area and building penetration was weak at best much of that has diasappeared. TMobile has plans that accommodate even the most frugal mobile communications service users incuding Cricket. Finding that T-Mobile is in more places I use my phone than a few years ago I upgraded my service to include a Nationwide free roaming, nights and weekends plan with 1000 minutes for less than $50 a month. Including all available features (Internet access and Picture / Video mail) the costs are still less than $55 a month. Add that to the expanded service area and you can't go wrong for that much money!

I moved from Puerto Rico a few month ago. I brought my Cingular phone with me and reception is great. Sometimes I cant make calls but it is the cellphone fault (old). I will renew contract to get new phone.

Very weak reception at home, and most places around Tucson. Usually lucky to get three bars anywhere around town.

My wife was on Alltel and getting 2 bars while standing right next to me with 5 bars at home. Guess who switched to Verizon. ;-)

Best cellular service in town!

T-Mobile should not sell the V330! This phone is awesome for everything but a phone! I had an older Nokia with T-Mobile that got great reception in my house, now with the v330 I can't make calls or if I can they dump within 2min. Hey, TMOBILE, buy more time on the towers in tucson, cause right now you are f***ing up hard. I called T-Mobile about this, and they said to turn the phone off for at least one min per day to have it reset on the network--bunch of bologna! I am an RF tech and I say the v330 is a crap transceiver; that coupled with the lack of visible towers just completely kills me. I am going to try to call one more time to see if they will trade me phones, or else I am going to have to 'dump' my contract. What good is a phone if you can not use it at home. One more thing, my sending of pictures no longer goes through. "call failed"--->"tmobile failed"

I just updated the PRL, and discovered that I have decent service up here now. I'm pleased.

Great coverage on and around the base. I only loose reception inside of our Base Exchange Store, Commissary and a few of our older (concrete / steel framed buildings). At home, 5 bars canstant and a very good Bluetooth connectivity. This is a new phone and I will be driving around Tucson to some of the "bad spots" listed on this site.

Could not complete a call with the Sony-Ericson. A Nokia 6010 on the same service usually works, with some garbling, but no dropped calls.

I have had excellent service throughout Tucson. I have had Verizon for 5 months now and I can count the dropped calls on one hand. I used to have Alltel but everytime I went into the Safeway on Golflinks and Harrison my call would drop. I can talk all day on my Verizon phone now.

the only place this phone works is at the Cingular booth in the tucson mall RIPP OFF!

I just got T-Mobile and I am really disappointed and am cancelling it. coverage inside my house is lousy I am near tucson and Grant. It goes down to 0 bars inside my house. I have to go outside to use the phone, and even then it is at one bar. It seems to fluctuate. I wish I had read all the comments before I bought t-mobile. I am going to go with Cingular or verizon

I can talk on my phone from Broadway / Pantano go east to Old Spanish Trail, continue past Del Lago, go South on Wentworth, East on the frontage road to Hwy. 83, to Sahuarita Rd and have PERFECT reception the whole way on the Verizon Phone(model V710). I am all over town daily here in Tucson-Verizon gives me near perfect reception all over. But keep this mind, I was with Cingualr before so anything seems to work better-probably even tin cans on a string!

Cingular drops calls constantly -my office is just east of the Hilton Hotel-Got a Verizon phone now and I've had zero dropped calls in this area and I live in Vail and am having the same excellent response with my new Verizon phone. I left Verizon to go to Cingular 6 months ago and the service with Cingular has gone from OK to horrible.
