At my home, the phone shows 4 bars, so supposedly I'm getting good reception, but calls get dropped all the time. People have a hard time hearing me or understanding me, too. (And I don't have a speech impediment, either!) Moved to Cingular from AT and T after their merger and am not particularly pleased with them.

T-Mobile is absolutely terrible for reception in the north part of Tucson. It drops so often at home that it's unusable, and recently I had the misfortune of having to take a loved one to the emergency ward of Tucson Medical Center at Craycroft and Grant, where I could get no reception at all. I'm still waiting on their promise, from almost a year ago, to improve the service -- I can hardly wait until the contract is over. With AT&T I never thought about reception problems. It just worked. With T-Mobile, when I reach for the phone, I do it with the expectation that it won't.

Its no Verizon but my Phone Has worked well with only a few areas where I get poor reception, such as along overton rd. and on Skyline near swan. Other than that, no complaints.

Reception here varies quite a bit - from 1-2 bars on standby to 4 while talking, but never 5. The closest cell site appears to be some ways away. My phone may be old(er), but it has always worked very well elsewhere (Wash. state), so this is a local network shortcoming.

Dropped calls everytime at Houghton / Irvington, why at this intersection? Otherwise service is not bad.

I have had many phone services but Cingular is absolutely without question the poorest reception of any phone service in Tucson no matter where you are. Dropped calls all over town as we drive. Standing in Wallmart and watching a kid talk on Verison while we cannot even get on tick ! I do not recommend this service to anyone that lives in Tucson and who need to be on the road.

Reception is non existent. Cannot make or receive calls from home. What good is it? Looking at Verizon with the CDMA system next. Any happy Verizon users in Rita Ranch?

Holy crap, I've been with T-Mobile for several years, and it seems like my reception has gotten worse and worse every year. Now I am lucky if I can get through a 5 minute conversation without dropping the call, and this is standing in my front yard. T-Mobile sucks in Tucson, and I used to work for them!
