LOTS of drop outs and disconnects. When it works it works great but when it does not, I have to use my Verizon RAZR. 4 dropped calls between 7am and noon today on the Cingular phone.
I was happy with my Alltel service until the snow day in January when a switch was damaged and the company put us on roaming for the day. After that dropped calls became frequent.
Verizon works great for us. I usually get 5 or 6 bars out of 7, even downstairs. I can't remember the last time I got dropped, and I'm all over town. Sometimes at work (metal framed building, deep inside the bowels thereof) I only get 2 or 3 bars (out of 7), but can still make and recieve calls! We got Verizon when we got here, and renewed after the first two-year ended. Then we fell for a come-on and switched to Sprint, and couldn't get more than 1 bar (out of 5 on a different phone) unless we went upstairs (then we sometimes got two bars). Needless to say, as soon as we could, we switched back! Never again!
Reception is non-existant in any stores (Wal-mart, Lowe's, Home Depot, grocery stores and probably tents! Outside, reception is average. Inside my home is the same as the store situation above. Have a Motorola RAZR L7 and not impressed with it either!
Many dead spots in this area. Cannot use the phone inside my house, and minimal connectivity on streets. Could not recommend Sprint in pretty much all of Oro Vally.
Ever since I have got T-Mobile I have been so happy with it! The guys at the store on oracle were great and really helped me out! I will be with T-Mobile for a long time!
