We get very poor reception inside our house and have to go out in the backyard to make calls. Long distance calls are the worst - they drop off after only a few minutes. It's a pity, since we are paying for national service but can't use it. Cingular customer service justs shrugs us off, saying there is very diverse coverage in our neighborhood.

Cingular (AKA ATT) has the worst reception in the UA area I have ever experienced. Calls are consistantly dropped on Campbell between Grant and I-10 on both mine and my wifes (Brand new phones). Cingular lost my buisness to Verizon when three calls to their "TECH" line resulted in substandard explinations for such poor reception. I honestly had better reception on my analog phone in the early 90's! Cingular really needs to get their act together.

This is my second phone with T-Mobile and it seems that the reception has gotten worse. I drop calls in my house all the time. I like to move around while I'm talking, but I cant do that because the other person says I cut in and out. Even outside, I have to walk away from my house or stay in one spot. I've told T-Mobile this twice and they suggested removing the battery while it was on... ..that didnt work. I thought it was the phone until I read all the previous comments.

Don't know what good this does, I can only hope Cingular executives read this. If there was a better alternative, I might switch. Service north of Sunrise along Craycroft / Kolb... forgetaboutit! No service along Sunrise west of Craycroft until Swan. Dropped calls consistently along Orange Grove around Orange Grove Middle School and east of 1st Ave. Barely any coverage on 1st Ave from Orange Grove south to River Road. Broadway Blvd! HORRIBLE coverage! Cingular needs to get busy and put up repeaters and towers around town NOW! Maybe a class action suit would get Cingular's attention!?

Every service has dead spots as does Verizon, but it happens so infrequently that I am rarely affected. I use phone service as well as broadband service for my laptop. As a UA student, it is true that Verizon has a dead spot on campus. They are not perfect, but in my opinion, You can't beat Verizon in Tucson. Also, you should research phones before buying them. As a Verizon user, my buddy is sorry he didn't. I make calls where he can't all the time. It's a full package, one bad piece will prevent the call. Good phones aren't free or cheap, but expensive ones aren't full proof either. Do your due diligence!

My calls get dropped 75% of the time, when I drive through this area. They should add a repeater in this location.

I have had Cingular since AT&T sold out to them. I have never been more disappointed since that day. When I first heard that Cingular and AT&T were merging, I was kind of excited, roll-over. However, after close to two years of dropped calls, horrible service and them telling me I need to buy a new phone to get roll-over, I am through. One would think that since they acquired AT&T, that their coverage would be untouchable, and it should. For it to get worse, unacceptable. I do not want to here that their equipment is not compatable, reprogram it. My contract with them just in this month(September 2006), I am deciding between Verizon and T-Mobile. I am surpised that Cingular is still in Business. The phone I used was great. I will never go back to Cingular.

I get 0 to 1 bar in my house, but usually a network reject or no service warning. Outside I usually get 1 to 2 bars. Travelling aroung town I vary from 3 -4. Big cities I can get 5 bars. T-Mobile sucks! I will be switching to Verizon or Sprint as soon as my contract is over!
