I'm about 4 miles from two different towers, on flat ground, with no obstruction. Really good reception is 2 bars. Usually I get 1. Or none. I usually can't maintain a connection long enough to push enough buttons to finally get to someone alive. If I do, and if I can understand the CS rep, they say "hang up, dial *228 and follow the instructions". I say I just did, and they say "Give me your land line number and hang up". I say I don't have a land line, and POOF! the call gets dropped. Magic. I didn't have any of these problems until Verizon bought Alltel. Don't know who to try next, either.

Have had T-Mobile for over 2 years now, using a Samsung 319. We Had Nextel before that (Totally useless). In the house I can stand still and watch my bars go from 2 to 0 in a split second. On the 303 from Grand to the I-10 I get 4-5 bars. In Goodyear and Avondale I get full bars. Dropped calls: way,way to many to count (mostly at home though). I recently switched to a Motorola RAZR and is somewhat better at not having so many dropped calls at home. I live minutes from a very large (land mark style) Sprint / MCI tower, this must not help T-Mobile in anyway! Also had T-Mobile investigate why 911 calls did not work when we tried it one night ! To their credit they actually drove out here and tried it themselves and it didn't work for them either. Has been fixed since then.
