Verizon data is so BAD that it is unusable in the winter in Yuma Foothills. In the summer it is great. I have called for many years and they still do nothing to fix this. BUYER BEWARE! This is not worth the money to buy Verizon Wireless.

Verizon is great at YPG, but does anybody know of another carrier that I can get reception at YPG? Verizon is getting too expensive.

T-Mobile has some good plans but I do agree with having bad customer service in Yuma. Might just be the people. For that person that said that you need to get a good phone for good service, well that's a load of crap cuz I know my galaxy s is better than your damn Nokia. If only T-Mobile would upgrade there towers to support 3g service in yuma and El Centro, people wouldn't be complaining so much. T-Mobile plan your bugdet well so that you can please customers in these areas.

Yuma finally has 3G coverage people! Like the other people said, for years Sprint had been giving me the run around. I was sooo close to jumping over to Verizon. With the Speed Test App I average about 900kps to 1mb download and about 400 kbs upload. All my Apps now are fully functional on thier own with out WiFi assistance! Its about damn time! Although some area's of Yuma vary greatly in speed connectivity. Biggest fluctuations are in the Counties south of Sommerton. But San Luis seems to be rocking it pretty fast too. The best reception areas are on top of the Mesa of course. Once you go down the hill then thats when speed levels drop down, not to bad though. I dont know where else they may have cell phone towers other than Telegraph Pass but I would imagine that they must have some repeaters around town to be able to hit San Luis.

When I was with Sprint, the reception was bad, usually 2 bars or under. The strange thing is that inside some buildings, you get a much stronger signal than if you stepped outside. At home, when the wind was blowing, the strength would fluctuate from 0-3 bars, dropping many calls. Sprint claimed that they were upgrading their system to 3G (and some even claimed 4G), but all I ever saw was 1X (and that was after 2.5 years of the "we're upgrading" claims).

Outstanding reception, no matter where I go in town. Always have several bars in 3G. Was with Sprint, but they seem to refuse to upgrade their equipment (though the claim they are - for 2.5 years now). Plus, with the Mobile Hotspot with the Pre, I pretty much have internet access anywhere I go in town.

On my G1 with T-mo I get about 3 bars at home, and 4 when I'm in town, in over a year with them I've had about 2-3 dropped calls. Their data service is still on edge (2.5G), but is faster than with AT&T and Sprint's 3G (Tested vs a coworker's Evo)

I have had sprint, Verizon and now At&t, all here in Yuma. Verizon has absolutely the worst customer service. I loved Sprint just found them too pricey and switched to Verizon at the end of my contract only to find out that Verizon treats their customers like dirt here in Yuma. AT&T had the best family plan for my wife and me. Roll-Over minutes ROCK! AT&T has the network, a-list and GREAT customer service. I would give them a 5 out of 5 if they would flip the 3G switch already. Also, reception is really good on base and off base, even with my iphone 3gs. The only place were reception can be discouraging is in old town yuma. It is the only place I have ever had problems. JUST GIVE YUMA 3G ALREADY!

I live close the AWC. I never had service in my home, purchased a router and now I have 5 bars at all times inside my home or outside. I almost never get a dropped call. I travel from Tacna to the Salton Sea. Occasionally on I 8 by the Ag station I will get a dropped call. Excellent service

I have had T-Mobile for over 8 years now, when it was still called Voicestream. They have always had great customer service, and the coverage was great when I lived in Phoenix. I lived in a small little town In CA for 2 years and I never got more than 2 bars on my phone, and now I live in Yuma and have the same problem. I have the G1, which is the best phone I have ever had (way better than the iphone), and I am sad to say that I have just switched to Verizon. They claim they have great service in this area, but so did t-mobile. So far I have 3 bars on my newly activated Verizon phone, so they are better than T-Mobile so far...

I switched from Verizon to AT&T predominantly because Verizon has the worst customer service in Yuma. When time went by AT&T turned out to be a great phone company that cares about their customer and my service is outstanding everywhere in Yuma. Just wish there was 3G!

Live and work downtown. Just cancelled my Verizon contract to get switch to AT&T so I could get the iphone. LOVE the iphone. Not so much AT&T. I get anywhere from 1 bar to No Service in my office on the corner of 2nd St.and Madison Ave. If I ever do get a call, chances are it's gonna get dropped. I don't think I EVER lost a call with verizon. I got service where no one else could. Such a shame. If it wasn't for the iPhone, I'd go back to Verizon in a heartbeat.

Inside reception 1-2 bars and unreliable. Outside fair. Local and only T-Mobile store has the worst service I have seen in 3 states. Must be a franchised or independently owned. Poorselection of phones to see at this location as well. No hot spot, etc.

1-2 bars inside home. 3 or more outside. Inside service is completely unreliable. Tried router, that did not work well either. Local T-Mobile store not well stocked. Customer service at the store worst in 4 states I've visited! Independent owner or franchised site.

I have had T-Mobile for about 3 years now and have noticed your coverage depends greatly on the phone u buy. The cheap or free phone has a worthless antenna and u will drop a lot of calls. T-Mobile is great if u pony up and buy a decent phone. I have tried quite a few. Nokia is excellent and the blackberry seems to do very well too. Also customer service has always been good to me. Never the bad stories u most often read about.

T mobile is horrible. I can look at a brick building and lose service. The t mobile store has less than poor customer service, and no support from "independant store owner." best idea would not use t mobile
