Abysmal is the perfect word; the absolute worst on MCAS Yuma. Highly recommend another provider if you are stationed here. Same problems as other AT&T users have commented on. From full bars to no bars in a matter of minutes with o movement of any sort. AT LEAST 3 dropped calls per day. If the iPhone wasn't the greatest invention of modern times, I would have paid the cancellation fee and found another provider months ago.

3-4 with edge gprs bars outside 1-2 with gprs bars some time SOS in house several dropped calls unless standing by a exterior wall or window indoors. T-Mobile not the greatest but it works, fiancee has Sprint and I'm switching over at the end of my contract!

Reception in house is 2-3 bars 4-5 bars outside. No dropped calls outside however if indoors a few drop calls if I am moving around. No Digital coverage at all in Yuma / 20 miles inside California Stateline. Was thinking about switching to At&T (for Blackberry Bold)but staying after reading this forum.

I have had Nextel and it was awesome, I had to switch to Sprint and have been let down by their service since their merger with Nextel.

Alltel has good coverage in the Yuma and San Luis area, even further into San Luis, Mexico. There is a lot of roaming in parts of Calfornia though.

I have had verizon, sprint, and now I'm with Cingular. I have had no dropped calls in the Yuma or Foothills area. Calls are clear and seem to only have trouble when moving cell towers.

Abysmal reception and multiple dropped calls every day within and around Yuma City Hall. Reception will go from 4 bars to none during same call with no movement of phone and frequently take more than 5 minutes for the phone to come back in range long enough to make a callback.
