same as the comment before me, I live in the Newer Part of Adelanto, bordering Victorville and My cell reception has been steadily declining since Cingular came into play, and even worse now with the new AT&T. Throughout my house I have 0 bars unless I on my roof, there I can get 1 bar. I'll have to drive 4 blocks away, taking me into Victorville and i'll get 3 bars. Victorville so far is the only place I get decent reception in the high desert. All surrounding areas the signal fades causing dropped calls, or unable to connect at all along with no internet connections as well. Extremely frustrating. Also Just would like to add that Cingular did the same with my family in regards to "you need to buy newer phones because your current ones are outdated" situation. More bars in more places... how insulting.

When we were with ATT we had excellent coverage when ATT merged with Cingular we were dropping calls left right and center. We were informed that it was because our phones were outdated, so to get better reception we ordered 2 more phones with a 2 year contract. The calls continued to drop within 4 miles of our house, we were unable however to get out of the contract and was told that if we got two new phones and another 2 year contract it would solve the problem. Yeah I guess I must look that dumb! We changed to T Mobile and have had less dropped calls since then although there are times that we have no reception at all. I'm even considering contacting an attorney with regards to starting a class action against Cingular as I'm sure that we are not the only people that were forced to end our contract early due to no coverage and paid a hefty price to do so.
