1 bar, 2 if your lucky. Lots of dropped, missed or one sided calls. (I can hear the caller, caller can not hear me)

I have been able to send and receive call. However, at least 50% or more of the calls the recipient of my calls can't hear me. I can hear them but they can't. I have called AT&T and they told me that they are having problem with the cell towers. They have given me $80 in credits... I don't need credit, I need a working phone. I depend on my phone for business :( This has been going on for over 2 weeks now. AT&T told me to call Apple. Apple wanted to charge me $60 for to see if they can help me... hell no. Will be getting rid of my phone and cell provider If I don't get it to work this week...

Had this phone for a couple of years, calls were good even inside home. Now the phone drops all calls, have to stand in the far back corner of the yard with 1 to 2 bars and may have 30 seconds or less before call is dropped if the call can be connected at all. Usually have NO Connection in home. AT&T has the worst service in this area, appears to be getting worse. While in Calexico, Imperial Valley, I had the best clear reception with about 5 bars, the battery lasted 4 days without charge, but in Alhambra the battery has to be charged every night even with no use. My Verizon phone works a well as my home land line phone inside or out, no dropped calls were ever I use it.

My cell phone typically reports 4 bars, but once I establish a phone call, it goes right down to 1 for the duration of the call. Calls made outdoors aren't that bad, but once I go anywhere indoors, calls start breaking up and eventually dropping. There's also a possibility it's the phone's fault; there were times when the phone would start screeching and buzzing really loud as the phone on the other end was ringing.

periodically I get reception (1 - 2 bars) but will lose signal in North Alhambra, South Pasadena, and North Arcadia. I have 1 bar to NO reception on most part of West Huntington Dr. - from South Pasadena to Arcadia!

The signal is very sporadic. If the phone is sitting on the counter I can watch the signal bar randomly change!

I don't know if it is Verizon that blows, or LG's phones (comments on the web usually tend to bash LG on reception, whereas switching to a Motorola improves the situation). But I live very close to two cell phone towers, near New Ave and Valley Blvd, and obviously they can't be Verizon towers or else my phone would have awesome reception. It's like the Black Hole for getting a signal. HATE IT! When we use to have Cingular's predecessor, PacBell, in '99, it sucked just as bad then. It is rumoured that Cingular customers have good reception in this small area, but it may have to do with the type of phone too. It seems like the area bordering Valley Blvd, New Ave, Almansor Park and Almansor Ave. is the Black Hole for my cell phone. ONE BAR TO NONE for signal strength. Have dropped more calls in this particular area than I can count. Aargh. I have also encountered voice and text messages getting to my phone HOURS after they were sent. It makes me want to dance a jig on my phone!

Inside a townhouse, the reception is actually quite poor. However, on the upper levels of the house, there is better reception. In the city, there is generally good reception (3-5 bars).
