I have AT&T and never have problems in this area. Voice and data are great. I always drop calls in downtown los angeles though.

Difficult to keep a call without dropping. AT&T says reception is good and not a problem on their end.

AT&T service in Altadena is terrible. As you drive across Altadena there are many dead zones. Do not use AT&T if you live in Altadena.

Had Verizon and that dropped calls perpetually, voice mails didn't show up for days. Have AT&T now and at first it was OK (not great, but far better than Verizon). That lasted a couple of months and now it is almost as bad as Verizon was. Walk around the house - on the south side the reception is better, in desperation I move to the driveway or backyard, but that's not fantastic either.

All incoming calls drop within 30 seconds of answering. Cannot make outgoing calls.

Almost always calls drop after I answer incoming calls within 30 seconds. Cannot place outgoing calls.

signal for my phone and several of my friends who have AT&T is out. No phone or internet.

Work perfect.. Unfortunately, it's not the case a works and in the city (many drop call,... )

95% of the time no reception at all. 5% of the time, phone will ring, but signal not strong enough to handle a phone call.

Have to walk outside of the house towards the street, find a decent reception spot near the curb, face a particular way, cough twice, then hope the line doesn't drop. Bottomline, POOR reception.

I get 2bars in front of only one window facing the street inside my house and reception often faint in and out. Calls get drop often and it will not ring for incoming call. Messages do not show up day after. Cannot wait till my contract is over. I have over 4500 rollover minutes that just show you my cellphone is useless.

Reception has gotten better in the past few months but the phone is still practically unusable in the house and even outside. Drops calls completely at the corner of Fair Oaks and Loma Alta / Wapello and NO reception going down Fair Oaks until you get to Woodbury (as long as you don't make a right turn on Woodbury).

one or two bars in house but spotty. Notice of Public Hearing from LA County in the mail this week that someone wantsto add 9 cell towers in Altadena 4-5 East of Lake. Yeah! Hope it's soon.

Cingular has been a big disappointment in getting reception around Altadena. There are parts of my lawn that, if I crink my neck just right I can barely get a signal to call, but it is so difficult to get a consistent signal around Altadena, I ended up using my cheap phone with Verizon to call around Altadena or Pasadena. Right at the corner of Chaney and Alzada I can get a Cingular signal, but then the street descends to Loma Alta and it drops off again. No signal at Loma Alta and Chaney.

it lets me know that I have got a call, even rings sometime. unfortunately I can't talk. I don't get a good signal until I drive down to woodbury (coming down lincoln).

i get no reception in the house and very spotty outside in the street, if at all. Cingular blows in Altadena!
