Living on Oak Canyon between Serrano and Weir Canyon. No signal to 1 bar inside the house with Verizon. The new cell tower at Toyon Park did nothing to help on Verizon.

See that antenna tower just erected in Toyon Park? I'm told it's T-Mobile's. T-M's coverage map shows top reception coding for the immediate (relatively small) area. T-Mobile users hereabouts should have found their signal improved greatly of late. But I'm still shopping for a new carrier (Sprint sucks locally), since T-M doesn't yet have 3G / EVDO service.

Outdoors, just OK in some directions. Indoors, alternating between 1 bar or roaming or "searching for signal" with dropped calls. My wife's AT&T BlackJack gets 3 bars, but not that network's 3G signal, only Edge. Verizon sounds like the way to go. Anyone out there live off Oak Canyon between Weir Cyn. and Serrano?

Have not been able to make or receive calls in the Ball Rd, Nutwood St. Cerritos Ave. Modeska Park Anaheim area since Jan 21. A T and T has gone from they don't know what the problem is, to trying to fix the problem. Now they say they have lost their agreement with the carrier in this area. Their customer service is terrible. You can't believe anything they say.

Verizon is better than Cingular... by about 1 bar... but that's all you need. It doesn't seem to be a phone issue (but some people swear it). I've used about 5 different models... T28 World, a couple LG, Nokia, and Motorola V710. All had same problems. Peak of Serrano and local school / park at the intersection is worst... but 1 / 2 mile in any direction by road, the signal gets stronger.

The Dead Zone in Anaheim. If you need to make a call, go somewhere else. This area zaps antenna signals.
