i get great coverage, even when out in the boonies, except if i'm talking to someone on verizon. 90% of the time the call wont go through or gets cut off. dont know why. this was especially prevalent in Las Vegas.

In the past I have always lost calls driving on corwin rd, past Catholic hill, to Waalew. And on HYW 18 through the narrows. Now with my new sprint / nextel "Hybrid" phone, I don't. This phone I guess picks up from both Sprint and Nextel towers and sprints satellite. But deep inside buildings, no bars.

how about simple mobile company, cell reception coverage

I get pretty good reception outside and average to below average inside my house. Main problem is driving on corwin eastbound past Catholic hill. Ive always lost reception there.

I don't have reception on my phone at home. It is a little better since the merge. I have been with AT&T for 5 years now. I am unable to upgrade my phone because of the merge with Cingular. If I migrate they want $18 per line (we have 3) and they do not have a plan comparable. They want $30 more a month and we get less minutes. Stay away from Cingular.

Dropped calls and 1-2 bars are prevalent basically anywhere on my property. The phone frequently flips through modes searching for a signal and "no service available" will pop up quite often. There is a mountain nearby, but with homes on all sides of it, coverage should be better... especially for the monthly charges!

Sprint stinks - variable reception with frequent dropped calls from I 15 on Hwy. 18 to Wal Mart. Often I have 0-1 bars.

We have two motorolas and one of them has virtually stopped working the other is still going. We often have cell-to-land line calls and have a terrible time hearing each other. Even on a good day we joke that every third word is dropped. I caution my husband to refrain from serious topics on the cell phone because we have so many miscommunications. Even the direct-connect walkie talkie service was really bad (heard to understand, dropped connections). Bottom line: reception is inconsistent, sound is unclear and interuppted by short silences, calls are dropped (all of this when neither phone is moving around) and the contracts are too long (2 years). I am desperately searching for a better service, but I am going to pay the $200 early termination fee today for the one phone (it will actually save me $150 it would cost me to ride out the contract with a phone I can't use!)

When I'm indoors my phone says no signal. When I called T-Mobile to complain they said that calls are expected to be dropped when indoors and that they do not guarantee service indoors. Omg really? They don't tell u that when u buy the 400 dollar phone and purchase their service.
